You'd love it to go the final game, presumably with the caveat that we win it...? Toughest game of the season on paper. 2nd with best home record in league. Get it done as soon as we can. Yeah, but also wouldn't be that heartbroken if they won it in a similar fashion to how they won the Trophy game in 2022. That was pure theatre. Couldn't help but be impressed by it all. That's where we differ! If they are going to win it, I don't want to be there to watch, regardless of how gripping the game is.

Life throws enough shit at you not to tempt more. No thanks seeing Wrexham laud the title over us "bottlers" even if it means the final game is a complete dead rubber (read, promotion party).

Some are just looking now for the worst thing that could happen to us. Even if everything is decided in our favour there will be somebody expecting a points deduction to happen and will not relax till the first game of the season kicks off in august. Already seen oddballs whining we'll get a points deduction if we run onto the pitch on Saturday. As we go through every year, it happens at every promoted club every season. We categorically will not get a points deduction if we go on the pitch at the final whistle on Saturday. After the final whistle is fine , just the premature ones who surround the pitch and can’t contain themselves and run at away fans aka Halifax match that try and ruin it for everyone . Nuneaton also led to a disappointing “lifting the trophy” experience as fans wouldn’t clear the pitch

Standing on the perimeter is part of the fun. The anticipation and charging to the players. Agree running over to away fans is just bizarre. Saw a few do it against Halifax, trying to get a reaction from them. Weird. I thought the Nuneaton trophy lifting was great. The original idea of facing away from most County fans dumb. There's never going to be a perfect way in a little ground like that when there's 3500 wanting to see it either. Putting them on the balcony worked just fine.

There will be people running on Saturday and yes it will probably piss off Cashy and co. But the pitch is in such condition, I'm sure it'll still be in decent knick for Accrington the following week.
I've been a pitch invader for Halifax, Salford PO last season and Wycombe in 08 but not sure I'll be on if the promotion is confirmed Saturday. Think it will all be a bit forced, doesn't have spontaneity of the three I mentioned. May go on vs Accrington if we've won the title and with it being the final home game.

Nuneaton and Halifax were incredible but it just doesn't feel quite the same now. If people go on the pitch then fair enough, it's a reflection of their feelings but for me nah, promotion has been near enough nailed on since the MK match, I haven't been worried at all so whilst saturday will be a big moment in our history it doesn't feel like it's one of those YARGGHGHHFH OMG WTF THIS IS AMAZING moments where you simply cannot be contained.

Life is certainly good if we're discussing the etiquette of celebratory pitch invasions.

Would be a pitch job if we are confirmed champions at a home game before the trophy lift..... Big IF though, it is in our control and we have the players and manager to do it.

We’ve still got another game on it and we would still need to win the title. Save it for the Accy game for me.

You need help man 😂 The Trophy game I could appreciate. Even though I was having a running argument with some of theirs to the left of us, it was some ending, but it was the Trophy. The league game, however, was devastating at the time, even though of course in the end it didn't matter. After we didn't score in the first 20mins I knew we'd pay for it and we did. In spades. Off the pitch, they were loud as f*ck once they got their noses in front and we had no answer. It was absolutely horrible. Still gutted I won't be there for this one though.

Had to laugh last year at the Salford game. My missus is in a wheelchair. As everyone ran onto the pitch, a steward opened a gate for her to get on. A gate stating “stay off the playing surface “
