Sam Parkin is just another Nick Chadwick for me all Hype and talk but at the end of the day his record says it all - NOT A LOT
This is not the sort of player AL should be looking at.

Just noticed on Marion's site that J P Kissock , an attacking midfielder, has left Macclesfield and is a free agent. A big shout on that board for him to join us. Played at Southport when Liam Watson was there so my money is on him joining AFC Telford

So you see, today we've beaten Macc, who play in the league above us currently. On that basis we're strong enough already and will get promoted this season. Alternatively, as we've been saying, these pre-season games don't tell us too much apart from giving the lads a run out. So I'll stick with my original thoughts of let's see where we are after 10 games.

Al could lose his first 5 games and as soon as the natives get restless and the board think there anger will turn to them they will make AL an escape goat. This is the normal 2015 way of doing things.

... they will make AL an escape goat. I think they may even make him a scapegoat?!

I think we've made the EP shepherd who would round up all the escaped goats redundant, could be a problem............

I called for AL to strengthen the squad and after today, I am a lot happier. I understand that he is keen to make another addition before the season commences and would have liked to see Kyle Brownhill return to EP instead of going to EF.
Hope we can keep Jack Ryan longer if he starts scoring goals as I still feel we need another goal scorer if he doesn't.
Anyway, I am now quite satisfied with the progress AL has made so far this close season and hope it bodes well for the future. Thanks AL, keep up the good work.

For me we have seen it all before a half decent preseason blown apart in the first 20mins of the season.
So for me i think a target of at least 10 points for august - If this target has not been reached then i doubt AL will see the season out.

Okay, we won yesterday but I am not convinced. I thought Macclesfield were quite poor. We must get off to a good start or I see a long season ahead.

We've got 6 games in August, I'd take 10-12 points from them happily!!

It's all been said about yesterday and I am not going to add to that other than I will pray that Alan is able to get Oldham to let us have Rhys back on loan as we need a goalscoring right winger. He is in negotiations with OA so I pray that he is successful.

A month into the season and I am quite satisfied with the 10 points gained, but I still think our squad needs strengthening and had it been, I feel we would have had more than 10 points at the moment.
Alan has said he still has some money within his budget and I feel we still need a scoring right winger and another midfielder. Now with injuries to Spencer and Milligan's suspension a couple of additions would benefit the squad.
I would love to see us sign an attacking right winger. Maybe Alan can get Rhys Turner on loan or make an offer for Wayne Brooksby. How about Danny Gossett for midfield who is without a club?
Whoever Alan wants, I hope our board back him before injuries ruin our chances of maintaining our current form.

We could've nicked a draw with North Ferriby, and could've beaten Stalybridge. That would see us on 14 points. We're nearly there team wise, just a bit concerned about squad size when we get an injury or suspension.
I'd love to see Rhys Turner back on loan, or Danny Gossett if he's available. Both would add good strength to the squad.
All in all, we're 7th after 7 games and handily placed. Just need to keep the points tally rolling. A draw against Boston and wins in the other two games in September would see most of us pretty happy!
