Even a loan signing would do, got to be someone decent we could get in.

Jim will take his time finding the player he really needs and will fit in well with the team and formations which differs to the panic signings by Neil Young last season..

He has a good record with loan signings, lets hope he can unearth a gem or 2

Having watched the lads carefully if JG doesn't bring in a good striker, I'd play this team to strengthen the defence and give more firepower up front. What do others think?
Hinchliffe Minihan, Ross, Clarke, Smalley, Duxbury (when fit) Ball, Rule, Amis, Spencer, Lloyd
No way would I have Montrose in the team as he runs around like a lost social loafer. Has to put in more effort for me to believe in him.

I think most of the first team have scored a goal this season apart from Montrose so its good to see the goals being shared around. Clarke has stepped up to the mark and Lloyd is leading the attack. Hoping Marsden and Amis come good and Spencer and Ball contribute so we dont need to go into the loan market..

Two decent loanees from last season Evertonian's Calum Dyson and Delial Brewster played in the EFL Trophy at Cheltenham last night although DB only played last 10 minutes as a sub.

They both did a decent job for us but I can't see Everton loaning them out again. Am I right in thinking they would only be allowed to go out to a National League or Div 2 club?? (natural progression).

26 year old Canadian trialists playing against Curzon tonight, Cody Ruberto has scored a bagfull. Played a trial game a month ago and scored a brace on that occasion. JG thought he was no better than we have. So hope he changes his mind and gives the lad a chance.
Has any other trialists ever scored six times in two trial games. Cody will be very unlucky if he doesn't get longer time to prove he is good enough. Apparently he has been training at Macc., so they may be very interested that he scored 4 last night and was inches away from another three. Last time he was here, he was told that we have enough strikers.
My personal view is that he may be the one that completes the jigsaw.

Not seen him play CBF, but he seems to be a natural goalscorer, but dont like the sound of him training at Macc.
I guess if we did sign him on non contract terms any team could do a 7 day notice on him if he does well short term.
He sounds like a gamble to sign for the rest of the season but I guess the fact he played last night means JG and AL are still assessing him.
I dont think it would have been a case of making up numbers.

New signing has been completed and will be announcujed on County's Twitter and Website shortly. A striker James Hooper from Rochdale been at FCUnited.Woo ho! Now bring in Cody and we will be strong going forward.
What a forward line we would if we signed up Cody Ruberto or someone similar.
Hooper, Stopforth, Amis, Ruberto, Lloyd. Surely goals in abundance. Fabulous though!
This lad looks promising and hope he is better than some of NYs loanees. Although NY did unearth a few good ones in Dyson, Brewster, Henderson, Thorniley and Kirby so hope James proves to be on a par with those.
Gutted and gob smacked Scotty's left. Great player at this level and Good Luck to the lad, he loves SCFC through and through. Obviously making way for another forward, hope it is CR.

Hooper sounds like a good loan signing and though sad to see Scott leaving he should be playing 90 minutes and at the moment I dont think he would last 45. Having said that his leaving comments show he 'loves' this club. I'm sure he will do well at his next club, but not against us. Stopforth will be off in January so Jim will need to find someone up to his quality. Has anyone seen Cody play? Would he do it for us at this level?

Unfortunately with the U21 match cancelled on Monday, this didn't give Scott the chance of showing off his skills. Cannot see the sense of releasing him as he was non contract. Maybe because Jim has someone else in mind and maybe Cody is in his thoughts. Only time will tell. Can see Scott doing a good job at Stalybridge with Dicko and who knows they may combined to score a few against teams above and stop them winning, In which case it may turn out to be a shrewd piece of business. As a non-contract player he wouldn't go on out on loan so maybe JG has said get yourself fit and enjoy scoring again and comeback as he certainly loves the club and is still of course at SCFC.

There is a lot of talk around EP about the lad Cody Ruberto who scores for fun. Eight in Three Under 21 games is impressive. Training with Macc and wants game time. If Jim doesn't act quickly now, we could lose out. Worth a contract. Cannot ever remember any one, youth, reserve or first teamer scoring 8 goals in three games.

I had planned to go tonight but plans came unstuck. Ruberto does sound like he's got talent and set up Marsden for his goal. Yes - Marsden. Might be worth a punt. 6-2 win is pretty good! Has anyone on this board seen Cody play - what do you think?
