Can’t we have the yellow colour that’s in the background rather than this pale version?

I've missed most of the furore on the Boardhost forum because I only went there for County stuff and with no games being played I didn't feel inclined to visit. I'm disappointed that the vote chose not to keep the proposed changes over there, particularly bringing new posts to the top. As a relative newby there I can live with it, but it's a pity people haven't seen it as progress. For the same reason, I'd prefer to see separate sections of this board for non-County stuff so I can easily choose to read it or not and I like live topics to rise to the top.

I was happy with the simple collapsible thread idea. Not keen on the threads moving on that set up but it works very well on here.

The idea of the newest thread rising to the top of the board only works in scenarios like this because regardless of length, every thread takes up the same amount of room on the board.

Through a car club I'm used to this format so feel able to say that I have a preference: for as we are with collapsible threads. I've changed name as I've moved south to the Gironde but kept the 9B shed avatar.

Can’t we have the yellow colour that’s in the background rather than this pale version? We did try that but there needs to be some contrast between the messages and background or everything get a bit lost. Having said that, I am going to create a few themes this week with totally different colours so individual users can choose what they see. There's already a 'work safe' view and an accessible one with much larger text. To user either of these, go to profile>edit profile>settings and select theme (make sure you save at the bottom) - when you go to a new page the theme will be applied.

How do we turn off email notifications for threads we've posted in, I can't seem to find it?

Other thing to consider is that lots of forums have separate folders for things like: Live game chat Non County football Off topic generic Off topic - politics / religion etc. Might solve the perennial ‘why I am getting Brexit / Corbyn threads on a County board’ issue, although personally, I enjoy the mix of topics, and splitting boards just adds extra clicks as far as I’m concerned, so would just stick with a single folder. We originally did have a non-County section on here and it’s something I’m in favour of. But will see how it goes, definitely makes life easier for those who aren’t interested in the politics stuff as that’s mainly what non-County is. I'm a BIG fan of the non-County section option.

Me too if there's enough traffic and posts. If there's multiple threads about Brexit, corona etc then will definitely be happy to open up a non-County board.

In terms of topics, if someone posts a topic that already has a thread, are they going to be merged? I ask only because there's a 'Who stays, who goes?' thread and also a 'Retained list' thread, which is essentially the same thing. I know the old board saw a lot of repeated threads because that was just the format.

Hope not. I used another board that merged threads and it gets confusing. Best just to close the new thread quickly before it takes off.

I'm not a fan of merging threads as context can get lost, and neither of us want to be over-bearing admins policing every thread. Hopefully users are sensible enough to add to threads rather than continually start new ones.
