I was MR MOJO RISIN, don’t know what’s happened but I am now mr 😮 Let me take a look. Ok seems mr is a new account. MR MOJO RISIN is also an account from back in 2013, you should be able to recover your password if you don't remember it. If you don't use that e-mail anymore we could delete the Account for you so you can re-register? He’s lost his mojo

While we are ironing things out. This is bugging me a lot more than it should.

Taken a long absence from this board but the format is so much better than YB which I never bothered joining.
Might ruffle a few feathers here but I think some might vote against through fear of the ‘YB clique’ being disturbed.

And that’s a valid concern.
The board is the posters / content, not the format, and if the new format drives away a lot of old posters, it’ll have failed (even though it’s far better from a tech perspective)

The boardhost format ruins a lot of my enjoyment/engagement as it's difficult to keep up with conversations, particularly on long threads.

Half agree.
I guess I’m coming from the perspective that 300 regular posters on a crappy format is a better option than 100 regular posters on a decent format.
(of course, the unknown is whether those missing 200 would be replaced by different decent posters who actively avoided using the old board due to the format, and what change to the demographic new posters would bring)

If/when the old board is closed down, then the vast majority will move over here.
It's a bit like moving house/ground. If we were to move from EP, I would hate it. However I would end up in the new stadium along with most everyone else and, when surrounded by familiar faces, it would soon seem like home. Just as this place does when you give it a chance.

While I understand the comparison of moving grounds I don’t think it’s really equivalent. One of the biggest appeals, if not the biggest, of EP is the location. If the whole thing was flattened and replaced by a brand new stadium (I would hope incorporating the Main Stand facade) I think I’d be fine with that. The facade is the only bit of the ground that is timeless to me.
Point being, moving here isn’t really moving location. It’s even got the Yellowboard url!

Only ever read the old forum. Never post. Much prefer this format. Might even post a bit if this one gets going.
