Something a little bit different here. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for ages and have finally got round to it. Have been working with an American brand called Icarus FC who do concept football shirts/kits and we’ve come up with these.    Ive taken the old crest as inspiration and come up with the dream lairy away shirt we’ve never had. I’ve got a very small amount of them done and will be putting them on sale in the next few weeks, hopefully before Christmas but no doubt COVID will see an end to that and they’ll arrive in July. I’m sure they’re not for everyone and some will hate them, but I think they’re ace and would be an away shirt I’d love us to have. Even if none of them sell, it’s still something I love. But pretty confident they will all go quickly. Full details, better pics and what not will be posted once I’ve got my hands on them. |

Better than anything we’ve had since the Patrick days. |

That's true - I disliked some at the time but they have a certain charm about them now. TV interference for one. Good work on having the courage to do something - although my eyes hurt after scrolling down this page now  ! It's a nice idea though but I have no idea what takeup will be like. Unless it was a design I really liked or was an 'inspired by' type (like the Club did last year but executed a bit better) of exceptional quality/price I'm struggling to think why I would want to buy a PES 'fantasy' kit. Please don't take this the wrong way - you've had the courage and conviction to do something. |

I’ve had a few done as there was a minimum order but I’m really not that fussed if I only sell four or five. It’s something I think is ace and will wear and have wanted to do for ages. I’m really pleased with the result. If I sell a few off the back of it, even better. That’ll allow me to try a few other ideas I’ve got. The concept/fantasy kit thing is something that has been growing for a while now. Brands like Icarus FC and Killa Villa have grown massively. It is a niche thing and I’m sure the majority of our fan base will ambivalent (at best) or actively dislike but there will definitely be a section who buy into it. Not necessarily purchase, but appreciate why it’s been done. That’s enough for me. |

Without the permission, I couldn’t use it. So either replace it with a bit of a parody (something like Robbie’s Best Bitter, which isn’t quite right) or leave it sponsorless. But a Romania one has been designed and is pretty much ready to go. |

I'd be tempted to go sponsorless than a parody personally. Me too. Tried it with something totally different like The Bobby Peel, Castle Street etc but they all look weird. I think I'd go sponsorless, unless I could persuade Robinson's to get on board. But either way, if any Romania ones did come out that'd be March next year at the earliest. The above lairy old crest-inspired shirt is out first so I suggest you get involved. If anyone is interested, drop me a PM and I can put you down as a pre-order. Have sizes S-XL, but only really a few of each. I think there's only two small. |
