Anyone know how the new seats are coming along? Was there on Friday. Top tier was done and most of the white letters in the lower tier. I assume white letters are still SCFC and not PUMA or VITA?

When I went very early on in the process of ripping out the old seats, the white seats had been left in, presumably to make it easy to do a like for like swap.

Barrow announced yesterday that they are going cashless... today they reversed that decision. www.nwemail.co.uk/news/19449506.barrow-afc-announce-u-turn-changes-fan-reaction/Coventry City did exactly the same when they first moved into the Ricoh Arena. Needless to say, they eventually ended up taking cash again. P.S was suppose to reply as a quote but hit the wrong button

Even just looking at that guy dangling from the girder makes me nervous! Should be a great improvement. If they do similar to the roofs of the other 2 stands, we'll know we're in for a bit of a wait for anything more substantial to happen. Can see, though, why the red girders at the CE have been left that way: it would be a massively complicated job to do it neatly while the roof cladding is on. Much easier when the stand was being built... and in any case I seem to remember the steel arrived pre-painted. ...but has nobody, either a fan or on the staff, managed to get a pic of the actual new seats? Or is it the Big Reveal again?

There’ll be at least two lines keeping him safe up there.

Not sure if the upper tier seats have been changed but if not and the club wanted to be proactive maybe rail seats would be an option it would add safety...lets face it not many people sit down up their...and it would improve the atmosphere it could easily be managed because you have to go up further steps to access that area...probably wishful thinking but a fair few clubs seem to be dong it

About 5 weeks ago, County's Twitter stated " All 5180 seats in the Cheadle End are also set to be replaced (and recycled) with brand new seats"
Agree about rail seating, though. Maybe in the lower tier of the Pop side if/when it gets done? Don't think there's been wholesale replacement of any of the seats there recently...
Cheadle end looking good and like it's going to be completed pretty soon.
But this view of the back corner of the Pop side looks a bit naff. A coat of dark blue paint along the upper back wall and roof edge and a proper sign (does that one have a Scandia advert on it?!) would look much better, and of course it's visible to anyone passing on trains... but maybe that stand is being left alone for now, as any improvements there may not be just largely cosmetic. Hope so!

Pop side seats have been done. All except the middle section, which looks a bit odd but they were only recently done in fairness!
