Of course Scarf, you have given it a go and that is all we asked, I thought this would have been easier for you to read.... we tried bigger text on the other board but it just annoys the majority. All about opinions but on the other board if someone replies above your initial reply you look like you are talking to yourself! also the ability to post on multiple devices and the board realising that you have already read xyz is pretty cool. Don't worry about the chaps who will be turning up shortly to pick you up, our re-programming centre is quite like Center Parcs (well it's indoors and there will be water) Probably didn't explain myself properly. This board is *better* technically in terms of features and any other way you can think about it on paper, but I prefer the other one simply because it's my online 'home' - in the same way that a new stadium is probably better technically than EP, but EP is 'home' and a new ground wouldn't be. Or that technically Steve Reich is better than the Stone Roses, but I'd definitely rather listen to the Roses. If everyone decides to move over here permanently then that's fine - I'll definitely still come on here etc - I just prefer the experience of going on Marions, given the choice. Only thing I'd say about the whole thing is that I've found the complete dismissal (by several people who should know better) of long-term posters quite disappointing. If the posters make the board, it's sad to see several comments in recent days saying things like (I'm paraphrasing) 'it doesn't matter that x or y poster hasn't come over, cos we've got loads of new posters here.' Actually, we're talking about valued members of our community here, not just on YB but in the County community generally - who have volunteered for loads of things over the years. I just feel like they deserve a bit more respect than being dismissed as 'closed minded' or 'throwing their toys out of the pram' etc. Some of the comments against this new board have similarly been OTT, but I just want to provide a bit of - respectful - balance to proceedings.

for it to become really popular and not die out , you need to be able to let people access it just to browse and look , without lenghty complicated passwords that people cant be bothered with if they just want to have a quick look and not get involved . It will help get more members eventually , and otherwise membership will drop quite heavily just my thoughts Totally agree. We also need to think about the impact of the board on SCFC - in the past, MMMB has had an important advocacy role, raising issues that have then been taken up by the club. If this board isn't available just to browse, we will lose that.

Apologies for this being a repeat of a similar post I made elsewhere.

Am I missing something? I could be

I'll crawl back under my stone now and leave those who actually know what they're talking about to make comments!

Quite a fan of the most recently contributed posts going to to the top of the board but is there then a way of jumping to the posts you haven’t read rather than it starting at Page 1 etc and trawling through all the ones you’ve already read to get up to the point of the posts you haven’t?
At the moment I find myself missing some that have been posted because I’m trying to find the one I remember last reading and carrying on from there etc...
If that makes sense?!

Just click where it says ‘new’ on a thread and it takes you to the recent posts you haven’t seen.

Me too. It's simple and seems to keep the essence of the old board. Just looked and it's 7 years since I registered on here. Lots of old posts I don't remember posting too. Might even contribute a bit more than I used to as well.
Long may it reign!

I've spent about a minute watching it and didn't see anything repeated like a normal GIF haha

I like it. It's my favourite movie.
