Sorry to raise this on here but statistics say there must be some on here who are affected by these unpleasant subjects.
I hope this thread gets no replies but if you are affected, we're pretty good on here,. Talk to us. A problem shared is a problem halved.
You're County family are here to help if you need it. Nobody will judge you. I think we'll be quite proud of you if you open up if you need us.
Some of us have been through some pretty shitty experiences. I have.

This really is a thoughtful post. Post of the year already won.

Taking nothing from Malc's original posting, there is professional help available to people if they need it. In the Stockport area you can access all sorts of services if you're in some way vulnerable at present, whether that's to do with your mental help, your circumstances at home or something else. I've little doubt that the same is true across the country. Google is your friend here. Be unafraid to seek help.

Apologies if this doesn't work - still trying to work it out. Some of the help available and contacts in Stockport should be attached.

County would do well to promote this kind of issue, even just posting details of how to access the various charities and services.

Thankfully I’ve never gone through it myself so I may be way off the mark with this but I think I’d find it easier to reach out to someone I knew and shared similar interests with than someone that knew nothing of me. Suppose others would do the opposite.

Suppose others would do the opposite. Yeah, everyone's different. A lot of people would find it very difficult to speak to people they know about some of this stuff and for some people doing so could be detrimental to them. Depends on so many things it's just about people having options to do what suits them best. There is no right or wrong on this one.

whilst there is no one thing that suits all, there should be as much help and information out there where there is a greater chance and opportunity for help for the individual. bit like if i was an alcoholic. there would be nobody or anything that would make me personally go to an AA meeting and would need help via another source.

I too have been through some pretty shitty times in the past, so I can relate to a lot of the problems people face. If anyone wants a chat just message me through here.

In the fevered scenes of Covid-19 lurks another virus Just as deadly Just as mean Often known Though seldom seen
Separate screens for the Netflix nation Weeks of iso but not much elation Socially distanced pent up frustration
Of course Social distance can be a relief Six and half feet can keep your teeth
As time wears on and the drink wears thin and the neighbours grow tired of the screams and the din and the Police are busy with kids burning bins...
In the fevered scenes of Covid-19 lurks another virus Just as deadly Just as mean Often known Though seldom seen
So in these pandemics no wise monkeys No 'Blind eyes' No 'Deaf ears' No 'Sayin nowt me mate'
Let's keep eachother safe
Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence

The thread I intended to post this in seems to have gone (which is understandable). However, I was just looking at this: www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/newsbeat-52724365/the-footballer-who-saved-my-lifeIt got me wondering, is there anyone at the club or maybe a past player who might be able to get through? I don't expect any response, because I realise the other thread was probably removed to protect privacy, but it's just an idea.

Bellis was saying on fb the other day that he’s happy to give any County fan a call and have a chat with them. Might not be appropriate in this instance, but worth considering if there’s any County fans you know who are isolated and missing going the game. I really am. I’ve found not having it to look forward to on a Saturday, and then dissect afterwards, along with seeing my mates every week, really hard. Probably explains why I’ve spent over two grand on shirts since March 😬🤦♂️, it’s my only connection.
