There was a post on the other board that has now disappeared without trace about good tv to watch. I'm not generally a great watcher of the box in the corner but with the restrictions in place over the past few months I've found myself watching more and more and have even subscribed to Netflix TV I've enjoyed and would recommend have been; Stranger (Netflix), Top Boy (Netflix), Scenic Railway Journeys (channel 5) and After Life (Netflix) I watched the much hyped White Lines and thought it was absolutely one of the worst things I've seen. I've enjoyed re-watching Derek and I'm working through Alan Partridge again. I'm also watching the Haunting of Hill house which so far is pretty good (2 episodes in). I've seen Chernobyl which I watched in completion on the plane home from Dubai early this year (thanks BA). I've recommended my wife watch it but can't find it anywhere? I've got Sunderland til I die, Ozark and better call Saul on my to do list but have heard mixed reviews about Ozark? Any other recommendations out there?

One that I really enjoyed, and a few non-basketball mates recommended to me, is that 'The Last Dance' on Netflix about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Honestly, its really good! I never realised how big a star he actually was, then again I was a '92 baby Finished Sunderland Til I Die the other day, again another very good watch

This is probably going to sound unusual but I started rewatching ER channel 4.com recently. It was a really good show especially in the early seasons.

'OJ, Made in America' is another good one down the US Sports / Culture theme. Think that's on BBC Player.

Peep Show. My all time favourite. On Netflix and 4 on demand. I'd never seen an ep until recently, despite knowing I'd like it; I'd missed the start and am a bit OCD about starting halfway through stuff. Thought I'd never get to see it because there are so many eps, but used the start of lockdown to watch the lot. Yeah, absolutely brilliant. As good as expected and I'd also recommend. The ep with Mummy the dog I had to pause because I was genuinely laughing so much.

Deutschland 83 on more 4 is well worth a watch.

I've watched a series of Ozark and it was fairly good, although not as good as some of the other stuff. If you've not yet watched Breaking Bad then I'd definitely watch that and El Camino before you watch Better Call Saul, just to set the scene. Dark Tourist is a good but short little series about people who spend holidays in some of the most dangerous places, like visiting that Japanese power plant that melted down after the earthquake. Tiger King is great viewing too, if you haven't yet.

A few off the top of my head. Dramas - Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, House of Cards Sitcoms - The Thick of It, Silicon Valley, Modern Family Political documentaries - Cuba and the Cameraman, American Anarchist, Fahrenheit 11/9
Most are on Netflix, I think Modern Family/The Sopranos may be on NowTV.

Have long been a fan of Bernard Cornwell's Anglo-Saxon novels, and the TV adaptation ("The Last Kingdom" - Netflix) is also pretty good.

I finished Tales from the Loop last night - really beautiful, bittersweet, character-driven science fiction

In fact I'd expect nothing less from ESPN, they're quality documentary makers. They do a few football ones too if American sports aren't your bag. Most you can probably get on YouTube. 7.0.3

I’ve just finished watching a throwaway US sitcom called Dave. It’s about a middle class surburban rapper trying to make it in the industry. Some of the themes are pretty childish but they’re intertwined with some serious themes too.
If you watched and liked Eastbound and Down which I absolutely loved and that you should 100% watch, then I think you’ll like this too

If you enjoyed how Chernobyl was filmed, the team behind that also made Giri/Haji, which is a Japanese/UK crime drama that was on the Beeb, but now on Netflix I think. Fantastically made and a great story.
We also really enjoyed Ragnarok, if you enjoy things with subtitles. Modern day interpretation of Norse mythology, very lighthearted but watchable.
