Into the 2nd series of Mr Inbetween and it's getting better and better. Comedy slides into darkness and back again so effortlessly. Great characters, snappy dialogue. Violent - but not without moments of domestic, ordinary tenderness. More than anything, it's funny.

Just watched the final Succession. Had just about everything. Near perfect finale to the show. Absolutely incredible. Brilliant finale to a brilliant show. I am at a loss as to how it could been any better. I would never had thought on the first episode that Macaulay Culkin’s brother would go on to become one of the best actors ever but Kieran’s portrayal of Roman will go down in TV history - phenomenal There’s so many threads, so many stories but one thing I’d encourage anyone to take away from Succession is that money gives you options and opportunities in life but it will not make you happy, so by all means pursue money but make sure you always pursue happiness

Have since watched it back three times, along with a second running of the final series, and it is absolutely stunning. Out on its own. There’s not a single line of dialogue wasted or scene that isn’t necessary. Every detail is perfect and the ending is just so *human* and real it’s difficult to process. I miss it. There’s no dumb ending, no perfect resolution, none of that. Just a mess of people doing what people do. Life going on. The score from Nicholas Britell for the final scene is sensational too. I don’t say this lightly as I’ve watched The Sopranos over 20 times all the way through and will always have that as my first love, but I think Succession is number one.

I agree it is so perfectly executed and the ending was exactly what they all deserved. Ace. Sopranos is my first love. Every now and again a show comes along and I think oh no that might be even better… until the titles roll again 🎼Woke Up This Morning… and I’m right back there ❤️

Just finished Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland series on BBC..brutal but brilliant TV. Same format as Once Upon a Time in Iraq which was equally brilliant.

Watched the first one, hadn't meant to stay up late but got hooked, was gone midnight but we were very close to playing the second, customer meeting early made me see sense, might nick a long lunch and watch the second 😀

Since the first two series this show has spiralled downwards reaching ridiculous levels of stupidity.
We are watching the last 5 episodes only to confirm what we already know. It is crap.

Thanks for that. I watched the first two series and really enjoyed it but then like you started to not like it. I decided to stop watching so good to have it confirmed that I haven’t missed much.
