No surprise to see you have a go at the other board again. Didn’t you once promise never to post on there again only to return when you had something to sell/promote. And as you say it was on this board (not the other one) where the comment about “breath of fresh air was made. It might not be a one way street on here but the majority of traffic definitely flows in one direction. No mate, think you're mistaken on that one. I’ve always been baffled by the “only to return when you had something to sell” comment. From an outsider looking in, it’s been thrown out you so many times on Marions down the years I’ve lost count. Seems there’s a bitterness from some toward you that I don’t understand. If the “sell” was the Saturday Night Thursday Morning book then it’s even more bizarre because I’d love someone to show me a better book written about County and a better fanzine than Tea Party. Maybe I’m missing something.

I'm also alright Jack as I can get Spanish residency through my other half being Danish and an EU passport holder, I just don't like that we've taken away the opportunities from our young people, opportunities we took for granted, in fact I hate it. I went traveling to New Zealand with a few mates after college and the first place we lived was a hostel in Wellington. It had its own bar and the barmaid was Danish. We used to think she was the most beautiful girl we’d ever seen and used to sit at the bar for hours staring at her like a bunch of cavemen and desperately trying to make her laugh. Then we met this group of Danish girls somewhere and they were all unbelievable. We came to the conclusion that the Danes were the best looking on the planet. In summary Vicar, all I can really say is, well done. She scrubs up well.

I actually left after the PID (ducks) thing broke, and as I said at the time, it was getting a bit fraught so it made sense, because after trying to answer questions in good faith and as calmly as I could, I could see emotions were running high. I came back because - meh, I got dragged in again. Wanted to talk about County - it's why we're all here.

I guess we are all opinionated, that’s why we are all on here but it does seem on occasions you can come across as quite dismissive and even contemptuous of some fellow fans.

Typical 60+ Tory voter mentality, 'I'm all right, Jack', without having the facts to back up their blinkered views. as a 70+ non tory voter i can say i,m all right jack as freedom of movement does not concern me one little bit. no interest or will to go or live abroad or bothered. where anyone comes from who does work for me is hardly relevant either to me. Does it not bother you that our young people will be the only Europeans without that right? It really angers me.

That's fair enough and I probably get wound up about too much but I find it sad that our kids have fewer rights than any other Europeans and people my age and older made that decision.

How does this work? Brexiteer Crispin Odey made 75 million betting against Intu, a company he worked for, apparently borrowed shares, took the dividends then handed them back when they lost value, why would shareholders allow this?

To be fair to her she’s done a good job with this one.
Many of the last services allowed to reopen were focused / primarily used / owned by women, and she’s drawn attention to this and got it sorted in a culture where all the major decisions have been made by men.

See also the little thread about the Glasgow incident. Expected reaction, then silence once it was confirmed it wasn't a terrorist incident. The setup of this board would have meant the subject was revisited at that point but I'm not sure that's the only reason it wasn't over there. No surprise to see you have a go at the other board again. Didn’t you once promise never to post on there again only to return when you had something to sell/promote. What a b*stard.

Anyone else on here who regularly wears a mask? I just don't understand the reluctance or why anyone waits for a lead from this government.

I haven't worn one yet, but that's more to do with the fact that the only time I'm going out at the moment is when I'm going running, not an activity I think will be practical / pleasant with a mask on, especially as it's quite easy to social distance anyway.
Wife & daughter have gone to pick up some stuff from the shops today (including a mask for me!) and both wearing them though.

I only wear them in shops or other public buildings but it's no big deal and it shows a bit of respect for those we're sharing a space with.

I think it'll just be a case of getting used to the idea, rather than any deep seated resistance.
Apparently, the idea has caught on pretty quickly in Scotland - can't imagine it'll be much different in England, and suspect most people will be wearing them by the weekend, bar a few brave culture warriors (many of whom will ironically be just the sort of overweight man of a certain age most at risk from the virus)
