It’s quite simple. 1 country covered up a pandemic and as a result infected the rest of the world. These weird strains of flu always originate from China. Why would that be? In the late 60's there was a major flu epidemic (that originated from China) that killed over 30000 people in this Country. Not many people remember it as there wasn't any major media attention paid to the outbreak. Shows that these viruses have been around for a long time.

If this was a disease that had killed half a million people in Africa nobody would give a shit either (although I wouldn't agree with that, more that people who do give a shit cannot really help). Also, frankly, I would take some convincing that if the 60 odd thousand people that had died from it in this country had been in the North, North West, North East, Scotland or N Ireland, the same measures would have been taken as have been taken. I'm afraid we'd have been left to die and the economy would have continued relatively unabated. We might even have been isolated in region. It's the simple fact that this affects everyone from all walks of life, including the well off, and people in well off areas, which has prompted such action.

Lock down in this Country has been eased as the virus has decreased it's potency in the Capital. If London had 000's of cases and the rest of England none then you can be sure that the whole Country would be in lock down.

Looks like Leicester will be first for a local lock down.

Was highlighting the disparity in the value of life throughout the world.

Covid is a horrible disease but I don't imagine it's like having your house collapse on top of you through bombing or dying of starvation in a refugee camp.
