I sincerely hope they do take place. I'm not a vindictive person as a rule but I'd be absolutely mortified if Fylde escape relegation because clubs can't or won't compete in the playoffs.

They've done well to raise just shy of £23k in 2 days! Same with jkb9b, I hope all teams can partake in the play offs - mostly just to send Fylde down

The playoffs are definitely happening (subject to FA ratification, which will happen a very long time after it should).
Every club has agreed to take part except Chester, so far Even if Chester don't take part, the playoffs will still happen anyway.
I keep seeing lots of these 'boost the budget' type things from a few different clubs, including Chester. I see they've raised about £80k. While that's impressive, it reminds me of sickly football clubs who have pretty serious issues. It's the sort of thing we were fannying about with 7 or 8 years ago.
