i remember them giving King Kev dogs abuse every time he touched the ball. mind you we were not nice to ken charlery, mark stein or keith alexander in the latters short time with us. Don't recall us giving Charley or Alexander a particularly hard time? certainly not based on their skin colour. Mark Stein however was a conniving little so & so & deserved everything he got.

Does he want to return? It now looks like Hull almost, have been relegated. Only a miracle can save them. Festus will not be playing Championship Football next season even if he broke into their first team. Players should talk to Uncle Jim, instead of taking their Agents advice. Jim said that Festus should have stayed to improve his development. Could Hull be in free fall? You never know we could be playing them on our return to the FL next year, if Hull suffer a double relegation and we win promotion. It’s possible!!!! Hull being relegated was on the cards before he moved there, it isn't a shock so I doubt he'll be too bothered. 8.0.2

I doubt Hull will go further down than League One. He has more chance of playing for them too now. Good luck to him, he had his head turned by his agent, just like a lot of players. do not think its a matter of agents turning his head. more of a matter where his agent had got him a bloody good move. non league to at least division 1 all in one go. a move most non league players dream about. if he does not get games there is also the chance of a loan deal to a division 2 club. the worst case for him would for hull to change managers and the new one not rateing him and he,s left out in the cold and hull just wanting him off their books. Worst case scenario is he ends up being released and tumbling through the leagues. Whereas at EP he was always going to progress with Jim as manager. His agent did already have him lined up and heading out of the door by Jan/Feb time by the sounds of it. I really hope the lad does well, I actually believe he'll outgrow Hull at some point. But when agents get involved it doesn't feel as organically done, it feels as if he rushed out of the door rather than did enough to warrant the step up 👍

If he remained or returned to Edgeley Park he would be behind Palmer and Hogan in the pecking order and as Jim has said he is looking to bring in a left footed central defender chances would be dependent on injuries and suspensions.
Festus was and is one for the future. If Hull were to allow him to return on loan they would expect him to play regularly. Do we want another club to dictate our line up?

It didn't sound from the podcast SBW did with Stuart white like it was a dastardly plot from an evil agent which led to Festus moving to Hull

I really hopes he gets a chance in league 1 & shines, the better he does, the better for us in terms of a sell on clause. I also hope that the Hull supporters have changed their attitudes over the years. I remember visiting their old ground in the early 90's & it was easily one of the most racist places i've had the misfortune of visiting, the place seemed to be stuck in an early 80's timewarp, skinheads in boots & braces outside the ground trying to peddle NF literature & i remember them giving King Kev dogs abuse every time he touched the ball. What makes you think we got a sell on clause ? The only reference to anything was in the COWs article which said undisclosed fee plus additional payments for “success”. To me that means more money when he makes a debut, 50 games, gets capped (!) etc, pretty sure if we’d got a normal sell on it would have been mentioned.

Festus will have known full well that Hull might go down.

Festus will have known full well that Hull might go down. Relegation will hasten his introduction to first team football thats if their present manages is still in the job. good chance of him paying the price for relegation and a new man coming in. just hope for festus that he has not gone to a club at the wrong time. it would not be the first time this has happened to a young player. shipped out on loan to the first club that comes in for him on loan, the loan not working out and his confidence goes.

I get your point but I think he's good enough to impress whoever the manager is.

I get your point but I think he's good enough to impress whoever the manager is. you would think so but it does not happen all the time. some players always seem to improve with a new manager whilst others go the opposite way. know an ex County player well who could not get a kick at a former club who changed their boss. the total opposite happened with montrose once jim came back.
