And regardless of genuine intent it usually feels like it’s said in a way to denigrate the job Jim and the team did that season. Get proper touchy you lot when there's a slight Jim connection to something. You wouldn’t know what to do with yourself if people weren’t

Its getting to be our Faulty Towers where instead of not mentioning the war we shouldn,t mention JG.

One of the greatest days, nothing to do with luck, just timing and the fact that the penultimate day of that season defied the odds, 9 times out of 10 Chorley score that pen, who knows what would have happened after that.

I see it more as recognising those of us that were there through the bad days than anything else. It's an in-joke riffing on the 'where were you when you were shit?' song in a roundabout way. Everyone knows we had a really good team that season, but the defining moment of the season was the crowd reaction to the news of the goal, not Sam Walker's free kick against Spennymoor / the Nuneaton game actually securing the title / anything else. I get what you’re saying. Which is all fine if our players get the same credit/acknowledgement. But they don’t. Even the club tweet about Taylor know rather than mention Jim or the squad. I’d rather see Walker’s free kick against Spennymoor or the 6-0s against Ashton and Chester, or Bell’s flick against Ashton at home, or the 3-2 comeback against Southport or any moments we were responsible celebrated a bit more. Despite my twenty posts about this I’m really not that arsed but it would be nice to see something about the team next year, not just Taylor.

Its just what happened in the crowd after his goal that will be remembered and not the actual goal scored by a random opponent. Totally agree with the achievements of our players and results should come miles infront of an added time goal but doubt they will.

Can’t remember if this was mentioned at the time. I know he’s been at Southport but didn’t see anything about him knocking full time on the head.

Matty Warburton's Solihull lose to Joe Grayson's Gateshead on penalties in the F.A. Trophy final.

With a name like they have i,d guess a few sold to people who have never visited the place. As a kid i had a likeing for gravesend and northfleet fc just because of the name. Doubt i would if they were called just ebbsfleet then.

Anyone else wondering how many of those scarves were made? and how many have been sold? Given that they’re knitted, there’s no mould or whatever so the only “setup cost” is programming the knitting machine. There are companies out there that’ll do you a one-off scarf for about 30 quid, so it’s technically possible they only had that one made which they keep for publicity photos.
