never thought he was upto much for us tbh I thought he looked to have something about him but never really kicked on. Didn’t he pick up an injury while he was with us too? I can't remember him playing for us at all? Presume it was in the NL? how many games did he get with us?

Presume it was in the NL? how many games did he get with us? Two loan spells with us in 19/20. His shot was deflected in during a 2-1 home win against Fylde early on in the season, he then came back later in the season for another loan. One of a handful of players in recent years to have two different squad numbers in the same season, 21 & 11.

23 and never really held down a first team place anywhere. If it doesn't work at Barrow next stop hyde. Still got time on his side and there's not a great deal of expectation at Barrow I hope he does well. Just wonder if thats the reason in recent years that some players they sign improve with them. After about 50 years away from league football i doubt there are many fans dissatisfield how their club has done since coming back.

I think so, they don't have a big budget, they have a bit of a ramshackle stadium and smallish crowds so expectations are realistic and players can thrive under those circumstances.

There has always been clubs who thrive as the underdogs with even their fans loving this. Just wonder if they get more from the games than some of us, wrexham and birmingham types of clubs do by splashing the cash but quickly get downhearted if things do not fully go to plan.

For the majority of my County supporting life County have fallen into the 'small club underdogs' category. It's only in the recent Stott years we've been viewed as having a bit of dosh. When we fell out of the league & then plumbed the depths of the NLN we were obviously viewed as a 'big club' at that level. Even the championship years I viewed us as punching above our weight.

And if you take yourself back to that time we didn't expect to win very often and that's probably how Barrow fans feel now.

Tom Collins I think? The vaguest of vague memories of him. Also named after a cocktail. Any other players that fit that category?
