Possibly. But don't care. Makes up for the plenty of times we should have had penalties but weren't given them. Yep, like London buses. Did we get one at all last season?! The last one I can remember was Chester away, then suddenly 2 in 2 games. (For the record, I think it was harsh, but he makes a late movement to push his arm out which makes it look worse.) No penalties last season and I think it would have been the same even if the season had concluded. Chester away was our last competitive penalty before Dover.

I think in the current rules and going off the pens you see given about 4 times a week in the premier league by VAR, it was a penalty. I don’t agree with it, but if it hits your arm in the box, even if it’s right by your side and not deliberate, it’s handball. Similar, although not as blatant, as the one we should’ve been given on the opening day at Torquay. Yep. Kind of penalty that wouldn’t have been given twenty years ago but is one now.

Yep. Kind of penalty that wouldn’t have been given twenty years ago but is one now. just one step away from free kicks given for any offence where the ball hits an arm or hand no matter what the circumstances are. fine with 3 officials on the pitch but basically impossible for a ref on his own to get even half right.

Just watched the highlights again and noticed that Rooney's number was up on the board ready to be subbed just before he got the 5th. Glad he stayed on long enough to grab his hat trick.

Wealdstone's version of the highlights. Sounds like someone is rustling crisp wrappers throughout.
I'm a big fan of the commentator predicting that Bennett will run the ball out to the corner moments before Rooney scores the 5th.

Are we sponsored by Heineken now too? I believe they are now involved, perhaps as an official beer or something along those lines 😁
