Now we have the blank Saturday is it possible to rearrange a future mid-week game for this date instead? I had a look at this and the only two teams who are free who we don't already play are Wrexham who we are due to play on Christmas Bank Holiday Monday (in lieu of Boxing Day on the Saturday) or Notts County as the return fixture v them is also midweek. So we could play Wrexham and have an empty week then. Or if Notts are Covid free by then we could play Notts on Saturday 7th and then again on Wednesday 11th. Would be Covid wary around Notts and also not sure about playing a big promotion rival in successive league games, which leaves maybe Wrexham. I'm guessing we'll end up with a blank Saturday. Good research. I can't see us or NC agreeing to pay watch other in quick succession in the league. I guess there would be no reason why, if you could move a mid-week, you couldn't move a Saturday. My thinking is fixture congestion is bound to come either via weather or covid. May as well tick off a game soonerv while you can. Of course if that does happen you have the whole move a home game / away game debate. Would another club even consider moving a home saturday game when there is a potential carrot dangling of a large crowd if we were miraculously allowed in at some point during the season!

I wouldn’t be looking to bring forward too many games especially potentially tougher opponents, we need to keep an eye on our PPG and with the games we already have coming up that could take a hit. It’s not just about how many games we play, it’s also about who we play.

I think we need to be careful in looking at the penalty misses as being the cause of us being out of the cup, it wasn’t, it was that overall we were very average yesterday. We were poor but usually that would be a replay, one I'd guess that we wouldn't perform as poorly in. Technically the penalty misses were the reason we went out. Rooney had netted the first one we would have been through To be fair, Desmond, whilst I agree with what you say, I think we lost it before we went to penalties, with us being weak within our left side with Williams, Jennings J and Kitching all out. Thomas tried hard but throughout I was thinking how easily Stephenson would have got us up the pitch and love him or hate him, I do feel we should have kept him until January at least, as we definitely needed a left sided player yesterday and that was an opportunity for him to take advantage.

I don't disagree with the lack of a quick left sided player, it was obvious we missed Kitching. However Thomas didn't do himself any disservice playing left wing. He got a lot of decent crosses in and even hit the bar with a miss-hit one. If anything our sluggishness in midfield and the poor performances of Rooney and in-particular Maynard was the key problems yesterday

Went to watch my local non league side on Saturday so didn't watch anything until now.
I'm on the fence on Bell, I think there is something there. Got to say though having Bell your striker not in your top 5 penalty takes isn't a great sign is it?

The club say they'll announce streaming details soon. Wonder if they'll be charging people again?

Time to get the rosette back out of the drawer, and make another tinfoil cup.

How does that work then? If you play an illegible player in a league game you lose any points scored
