They’re fan owned and not a lot of money in the coffers by the sounds of it. Think they could have a really tough few years to come yet. They only need to look at what happened to us......
It can get far worse for them yet.

Listening to their manager, it doesn't seem like he has much of a clue. Doesn't seem to be able to understand the game or where his team are going wrong.
The difference between listening to Pemberton or Jim Gannon is night and day!
Chesterfield have a new stadium and the over heads must be high. Not sure how they can afford to be fan owned at our level?

They're not holding onto much hope here for Saturday are they? linkI particularly like one guy's prediction of County winning 10-0 haha

Agree with all of that mate. They’re looking very much like us a few years ago. Pemberton is clueless and just trots out sound bites. Yes there was a post on their forum saying being fan owned is ok if any of the trust members have a pot to piss in but that isn’t the case. Some were asking for a takeover. They don’t think they can afford to sack Pemberton even if they want to! It’s a shame as they seem a decent bunch.

If this Denton fella ever googles himself after retirement he’ll find everything on here. More mentions that the rest of our squad put together in the last week 😂. To be fair, he’s been a menace for us. Remember when some of us were desperate to sign him? Don’t mention the past. We’re different gravy now.

To be fair, he’s been a menace for us. Remember when some of us were desperate to sign him? Don’t mention the past. We’re different gravy now. Maybe but my mentality hasn't changed! Everything points to a good home win - form, momentum, quality, added rest - even their own fans are predicting 5-0+. But football is a funny old game. In some ways I think this will be a ''free hit'' for them. Nothing to lose going in as underdogs and a break from a poor start to the League campaign. They may also switch their team around and get a reaction from a few players. From what I understand, the same bunch also dragged themselves away from relegation under Pemberton's new leadership at the end of last season. I'm sure that Jim and the boys will be fully prepared. I just can't handle being favourites after the years of hurt and false dawns!

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but profits from the live stream on Saturday are split between the two teams.

Sod all the chatter about squad rotation and the cup being a distraction. Winning breeds confidence, confidence breeds wins. Go for it, I say.

With the overall quality of the squad, bringing in a few of the players who have not featured much would hardly be weakening the team.

I feel for Chesterfield right now, we know what it's like stuck in that downward spiral with no way of turning it round.

Listening to Pembertons remarks about last Saturday and last night I can see them being very physical on Saturday.Going for a breakaway goal or nil nil and win on penalties.Got to keep our cool and play through them

After his bizarre post-match v County - unless I’ve missed it - perhaps not unsurprisingly, John Pemberton appears to have dodged the cameras after Wealdstone.
