Best chippy in the world is in Whitby, can't remember it's name but it has those ropes outside where vips queue up. North East is good especially one in Seahouses. Locally the Dolphin in Reddish used to be great, not been for years though. Which one in Seahouses. We went in one and it was bang average. Best fish and chips is a van that does the villages down on the Roseland peninsula down in Cornwall. Fresh as you like, all cooked in beef dripping. Long way to go for it mind... We made the same mistake in Seahouses on a family trip a few months ago, all my colleagues told me a trip to the chippy was a must. I think we picked the wrong one on the street going out of the village, the place on the roundabout must be the place everybody raves about. Colemans in South Shields and Long Sands in Tynemouth are worth a visit if anybody is up there.

Went there with my wife just because we got married and had basic fish and chips with a bottle of champagne. Felt like a right tit. Was that when you declared your habit of collecting used football shirts and told her it's a can of Shandy or Vimto going forward as these tops don't come cheap?

Was bobbins... might be that I was expecting it to be something jaw that did for us though.

She enjoys the Farmfoods lifestyle she’s had to become accustomed to. Little does she know I sold a shirt for £300 on Sunday 💅. Admittedly I’ve spent about £8000 in 2020 but the little victories are important.

The chippy in Seahouses is the one on the roundabout. Very good. Whitby one is on the harbour, as someone said, always a queue outside. Not sure about Champagne Suede, has to be a pot of tea withe Fish, Chips, gravy and about 3 rounds of B&B.

When I'm in England I rarely eat fish and chips but when I'm abroad I really miss it.

It's the Neptune in Seahouses. To be fair I rarely have a chippy meal but after walking for 4 or 5 miles along the beach at Seahouses with a brisk wind blowing off the North sea, a sit down at the Neptune is marvelous. Do you get a lot of good fish and seafood places where you are in Spain Vicar?

Been up there many times and I disagree, most coastal towns do good Fish and last year I had a superb example in Portsmouth but the Friary can hold its own against any. most coastal towns may do decent fish and chips apart from blaxkpool on or near the front. as for portsmouth there was a good one near to fratton park when we used to play down there. worst match day grub must have been at swindon near those roundabouts.

There's a cracking chippy near Alty's ground, there's another good one at Rochdale, even despicable Crewe have a couple of good chippies near the ground.

Thank god it’s not closed, living in That there London with their pie, mash, jellied eels, liquor, saveloys... it goes on and on, I would quite happily do the 3hr door to friary to eat their chips and gravy

The one near Morecambe's old ground was top notch Yep this was our “local” when we lived in Lancaster. A really good chippy! Another one of the reasons we miss the place.
