I think the time has come to really put forward what has really been going on at Edgeley Park over the last few months and why several online tonight appear to have noticed that things don't quite seem right behind closed doors... I am not here to stir the pot or wind others up. I am here to tell you what I have heard from several voices at the club. Jim Gannon's time is up. I am a huge fan of Jim and I always have been, he has provided many memories although not all good over the last decade and gave us all something to believe in but the jig is up and it is silly to pretend otherwise. - He is unable to manage big players. He got the players he wanted from his shopping list, despite rumours to the contrary that someone bought them for him and he is incapable. He has shown that at any job he has been at other than County.
- Hogan and Rooney want out if he doesn't go. Their agents have made that clear.
- Hinchcliffe and Jennings have had enough and their confidence is shot to bits due to JG's bullying.
- He wants a percentage of all transfer fees going forward - things like this always make me feel uncomfortable.
- I have also never known any manager to be in trouble for speaking to office staff in a bullying way.
If I was an investor in a business and invested a ton I would be expecting a return. The aim is to be promoted this season and the board have factored this into spending. We are losing 1 in every 3 games and at that rate we won't be going up.
I've hesitated about posting this but after confirming with several sources at the club, the story is always the same from all different mouths. I think people need to look past the rose tinted glasses and know that he has took us as far as his talents will allow, the players don't want to play for him, can't stand him (his dig at Rooney whilst praising Palmer shows this is now working both ways) and no doubt may possibly leave after putting themselves in the shop window against West Ham.
People have to also understand how football or business work, JG was never going to manage us in the Championship, League One or Two. Times have changed since his original time and his football tactics are outdated. They've given him a chance rather than bringing in their own people when they arrived and having seen us play worse in the past than we did tonight, if promotion is a must I am afraid these last few weeks are Jim's last with us.
I look forward to the big name that takes us forward from here and hopefully toward promotion.

Mr Stott appears to be an astute businessman.
He would do very well not to f*ck off his customers.

If Hogan and Rooney want out then let them go. They mean nothing to me. I said elsewhere, the club is bigger than Jim Gannon, but Jim Gannon is bigger than any of those players.

Big fan of Jim since he came back. I can't see beyond him at the moment, mostly because he is doing well so why would I be looking further than the success he is currently brings. If and when it stagnates then obviously you look further and elsewhere. I think he has been on his own journey in football and part time football as us and Northwich has humbled him from what I can see. I think he is grateful for the opportunity and seems to be really enjoying it. Long may it continue.

Probably is the start of the end for Jim.
This isn’t his model of structure pay scales, tight contracts. The power is in the players hands really now. Longer contracts, bigger money with players.
It’s sad but with money comes things like this. No doubt if Jim was given free reign to be in control he would get us success. He clearly doesn’t have that free reign with the Director of Football etc.. and the other roles created around him.

Rooney has played less games for us than Ludovic Dje. He’s an absolute nobody at County. If he wants to go then he can.

I mean you can sit here and say I am making it up, I'm not really fussed, I don't really get anything out of it and I am sad that his time will come to an end like this but he brings it on himself, everywhere he goes its the same sorry tale.
I'm afraid I'd rather keep our best defender, top goalscorer than at present a very average manager at this level. As picked up already, three have handed in transfer requests tonight, the man is a walking destruction ball and has lost the dressing room. It's time for one of the several names in the fray, one who is already at an advanced stage, has experience of getting out of this decision as well as experience managing in the Championship.

The transfer requests part is complete and utter bullish!t. You’ve obviously been fed information to create unsettlement and stir the pot up, everybody knew this would be a matter of time under new ownership.

Palmer has credit in the bank as do the other players who have come through the leagues with us. The likes of Hogan and Rooney don't at the moment. Rooney has undoubtably had some great games thus far but heroes are made over months and years not a few good games / goals. I've been concerned with his potential attitude from Day One after that goal celebration at the CE last season and thought it was odd he gave up league football after being a non league player for so long to come here, presumably for a pay day. On his day undoubtably a good player at this level but no player is bigger than the club, especially not a relative newcomer and he shouldn't be immune to criticism by Jim.
