It's a stepping stone back to where he was for him, no doubt a very well paid one too. I imagine it’s also a matter of roles. His dream is clearly to have more power than some statto that can be ignored at a whim I think we're stuck with him, didn't someone say he holds a significant number of shares in the club? |

He said that he was offered shares on the webinar he did with the pointy shoed paperboy. Whether he took them or how many it would have been I don’t know. The more I think about that webinar the more confused I get. He was brought in to do due diligence on Stott’s purchase of the club. Surely that due diligence would have required some basic knowledge of our time in non league and beyond? Surely he should have known that McKnight was toxic? What worries me is if he knew, and just didn’t care. |

I completely get the argument for a DoF. We might not need one in the National league but they are more common as you head up the leagues and more clubs are adopting that structure. If that’s where we plan to be heading then I can see with the money we’ve got, why not bring one in now. its not the first time we have had a DoF. colin murphy did that role under dave jones but bwould hardly have got a comment if this board had been around then. those that do have one their role is more of a chief scout with a fancy title. seems that at County this role has increased somewhat where we get the impression of wilson being more of a club manager and rusk just being a coach under him. Colin Murphy wasn’t DOF with Dave Jones. It was when Carlton Palmer came in I think? Edit - I just checked and yes it was under Carlton Palmer. Your point still stands. 👍 |

I’d rather be Bury or Macclesfield at the moment than have Wilson aboard and do things honestly. Sacking Jim was just crazy and has backfired on us and annoyed over 90% as JG was also a fan and one of us!

Does he still think he’s doing a good job? And I wonder what Vaughan and Stott think? Again, I believe Stott regularly reads this. He can’t be happy with the way one of his directors is viewed by the fans.

Was John Hollins a DoF too? He was. There was some odd titles under Chris Turner IIRC. Sure we had a 'Sporting Director' which might have been Kevan Taylor's official title. |
