Wasn’t that long ago we were playing league matches there. I remember a hard fought draw with 10 men. It’s only an hour from me so you never know.. might get to go.

Location makes sense if they’re expecting Torquay to be one of the teams, and bodes less well for their expectations for Hartlepool. Of course, I may be crediting them with far too much competence, and the board probably only realised Wembley was unavailable yesterday. At least we now have definite dates anyway - anywhere between 1 - 3 games, all on Sundays most likely. It’s to keep crowds low, less fans will possibly attend from any of the northern clubs and Torquay don’t have any fans. Very clever ploy. 😀 Ps. Wonder what happened with regards to Leicester, many people were telling us it was nailed on for there. Maybe they were asking too much to host it.

Let’s get to the final first and then start fretting about this.... We've got to get to the semi final first, either by finishing in top 3 or beating 7th place.

Whoever is in this final more of their fans should have the chance to see their club try to get into the league than will, whoever wins it'll be one of the best days of thousands of people's lives not that those who made the decision will really understand that, people running football never understand the fans.

Bonkers decision. What would the capacity be for Bristol? About 7500? So that's just over 3000 each team and the rest for vips Oh well....Bt sport for me 6750 on the day (25% of 27,000). 8.7.3

I know there was lot of talk about Leicester but if we get there, Bristol is a much better away day and a piece of piss to get to, for all 6 fans who can get tickets.

Really weird choice of venue, typical of the national league. Would love to hear the rationale behind this decision!....but we won't.

You’re assuming there was a rationale to the decision... blindfold a man with a map and pin possibly. somehow its nailed on we,ll play hartlepool there now. next thing will be some stupid early or late KO time with trains not running or delayed with pop up roadworks starting a few days before. out of all the grounds you may of thought the final would be at i doubt ashton gate would have crossed anybodys thought.

They'll probably find some sort of maintenance safety issue with Ashton Gate the week before, and move the game to Home Park, and announce it the same day Hartlepool beat Torquay in the semi-final.

You’re assuming there was a rationale to the decision... -- From NL Statement: The 27,000-capacity stadium, home of Bristol City, has undergone major renovation work in recent years, transforming into a leading UK sporting venue.
