I’ll be slightly disappointed if ST holders don’t get the home play off games free.
We’ve effectively’lost’ money over the season compared to paying streamers, particularly when you account for all the BT games.
Would be a nice gesture, and probably pay for itself in goodwill.

Can see lots of unhappy people. How do they know all season ticket holders will attend? i see one "fan" has said if he gets a ticket in the lottery for the Railway End and its raining,he wont go! Will season ticket holders get priority for any playoff games. The way we have been ripped off,we should get them for free. Price paid per game.£18."Free streaming 7.99.Home games on tv,pay for a game already paid for! You’ve not been ripped off as you had the option for a full refund on your season ticket. Also next to no season ticket holders paid £18 per game, vast majority paid the reduced rate of about £12 per game.

2000 or 2500 fans to sit outdoors in a stadium with staggered entry/exit times, only to leave and most of us end up sitting indoors in a pub with limited social distancing. All whilst there are less 2000 cases a day, people in hospital plummeting and deaths at their lowest they've ever been.
Completely over the COVID nonsense now. It's a incoherent mess. Rant aside, it will be good to step into EP even if its going to be slightly sterile with the social distancing and small crowd.

Be interesting to see if this Code of Conduct prohibits singing, celebrating etc

Unfortunately cases are growing again in many areas, Bolton is in a real mess and the rates in Stockport have pretty much doubled in just over a week. There’s a real risk of some restrictions being put back/remaining in place in some areas the way things are going again. Hopefully the vaccine will still mean that this doesn’t equate to a big growth in deaths.

And yet again we will be the ones to pay for yet more government failings, it's getting so tiresome I have to say.

People may well be happy to attend the game via staggered arrival times but I’m far less confident they will be as happy to leave in a staggered/managed way and therein lies one of the main issues. i for one always nip out early say a minute before the end or once they put up the time added board if the result is not in doubt. i want to know if i,ll still be able to do this before i even set out for the game. i would not be happy hanging around especially in the rain to vacate the ground if we have lost the game. saying staggered/manage exit is not enough. you need to be told the full story before you can decide. if we are told then you cannot gripe about the measures put in place. Well, can I just place it on record here that firstly, I'll be happily hanging around especially in the rain regardless of the result and for a good ten to twenty minutes after the final whistle has blown, and that secondly as far as a staggered or indeed managed exit is concerned I'll be of course as a responsible citizen be taking full cognisance in advance of the proposed protocols, before proceeding to disregard them in a flagrant manner. Thank you.

There’s a real risk of some restrictions being put back/remaining in place in some areas the way things are going again. Hopefully the vaccine will still mean that this doesn’t equate to a big growth in deaths. Cases are up but there is more data coming out that the Indian variant does not evade vaccines. Talk of rising cases is moot with an endemic virus and 60% of the adult population (including the most vulnerable with 2nd doses, who account for 99% of COVID deaths). We still do not know whether the Indian variant(s) growth is due to higher biological transmissibility or is a function of high transmission in India, imported traveller cases, and demographic factors like high number households. Any talk right now that this is going to scupper further lockdown re-opening is premature and doomsaying. The 'tripling' reported turned out to be more like double in the latest PHE data and that includes cases from people who have recently travelled from India or been in contact with others thereafter. We will have a better picture in a few weeks. With posts like these, its worth putting into context how low numbers are to where we were (which makes data more noisy) and accepting the inevitability that covid19 is seasonal, endemic, and will be even higher when we hit autumn/winter. The real challenge now is to continue our successful roll-out programme and see the effects on hospitalisations and deaths the vaccine has. So far the vaccines are working far better than we would have ever anticipated as little as 8 months ago. One thing we can do is look at the breakdown of the rise in infections, to use Bolton as an example, we see that the breakdown of cases by age the rise is in those by and large who have yet to be vaccinated. One can make a deduction that whilst the virus is spreading in younger ages, it is not spreading as fast in older vaccinated groups (especially when we consider noisy data) which suggests the vaccines are doing their job. Even more positive when you consider that vaccines will not always prevent infection, but almost certainly turn catching covid into an illness which is not deathly. I hate go to tinfoil hat, but I would take most COVID reporting in the MSM as a pinch of salt. It's easier to sell your papers reporting that variant bingo will send us back to square one. The virus has mutated 1000s of times and we are still waiting for the 'super mutant' which evades vaccine protection. Fortunately, the ones which the vaccines are less effective on have not seen increased infectivity and we have managed to keep a lid on it - buying us time to modify the next generation vaccines against such variants in the future.
