"You'll never beat Bill Williams" was a regular cry from the County terraces in the 1980's. Arguably one of the best defenders to pull on a County shirt, Bill notched up over 300 appearances in two spells from 1985 to 1998 and 1989 to 1994. Bill signed for Manchester City, but returned to County the following season. Bill has made a generous donation to the Danny Bergara appeal, along with a fantastic tribute. Rare cool photo when Luton relegated City at Main Rd. 1983. Apparently the fan got more than he he expected from Paul Elliot and Ricky Hill! The latter who applauded and I believe donated to Danny’s statue. Big fan of this.

`Let`s Make This Happen!`………… ………The words of Help the Hatters Organiser Supreme John Gaskin as his timely donation today to the Danny Bergara Statue Appeal took the total raised beyond the significant landmark of £10,000. There`s a way to go yet, but we are working at initiatives now, and with your help ….it will happen….we will commission that statue and see it sited suitably at Edgeley Park ! www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dannybergara?utm_term=bzbaGAmQN

This is a really good start! Let’s hope fans can get behind the Hatters Half marathon runners and sponsor them as it is all going to the Danny statue fund.
How many calendars are left?

I could have missed them but did we have any collection points in the ground on Saturday? was thinking just the same. this needs to be done as i think most would shove their shrapnel in every week which all adds up. knowing the new County world they,d prefer it all done cashless.

I reckon they'll get more out of me that way rather than a one off payment, especially when I've had a few pints before the game.

No reason why cashless couldn't be done as well. Get a load of QR codes up around the ground linked to a PayPal payment link, job done. Would take the person donating ten seconds to do, they wouldn't even need a PayPal account, just a debit or credit card. Would take less than 5 minutes to set up, the most arduous task would be to blu-tac the posters to the wall.
