Anyone who are interested, hartlepool have sacked kevin phillips and replaced him with darren sarll. Just when a candidate currently at Forest might have come available too.

Expect more of this, then: Weirdest thing for me is that in my mind I watched that happen from the Pop Side…

Scenes at Scunny today. Must have been soul destroying finishing 2nd, losing on penalties then watching away fans celebrate on the pitch like that.

With the money they've spent they've fully bottled that big time.

Amazed a club like that or some of the underachieving clubs in the north west haven't gone for Gannon and just given him autonomy to get on with it. He's probably past the stage of wanting to traipse to Hartlepool now but sure he could turn around an Oldham or Rochdale if given time and allowed to do things his way.

According to a Scunny fan I know they’re going semi professional next season now. Can’t help but feel they’ve missed their shot and are there for a while now.

For reasons i never know is so many hate him up there and have seen no reasons as a player for us why they do. Not sure if we actually ever played them when he was our manager either. Think its more a case of him not wanting it than clubs not wanting him.

Jim was definitely in charge when we got hammered up there and Rooney got himself sent off when we were already down to ten men. I don't recall Gannon saying or doing anything untoward though - indeed he called out Rooney's behaviour for the stupidity it was.

The result was on the cards for a few weeks now. Boston hitting form at the right time and their form has dipped badly since the earlier part of the season when they looked to have been walking the league. Surely our lesson from the past showed how good going part time really is. Sorry for Scunny and every other side who came the team first below promoted sides who fail in the PO. Never liked em and never will especially as a County fan with one success but loads of failures in them.

Well they,ll have to play our old mates from victory park in the final. If i was a gambler i,d put a big wad on Boston getting back into the NL as Chorley didn,t look a patch on the side who played against us and had their keeper to thank for getting into the final. A big day for Alty today as well.

A big day for Alty today as well. The National League will look as non-league as it has looked for a long time next season. Sutton & Forest Green back down. Tamworth + one of Boston, Brackley or Chorley from NLN. Yeovil + one of Braintree, Worthing or Maidstone from NLS. Huge opportunity for Oldham, Rochdale, Hartlepool etc to get back into the league if they can sort themselves out in the summer.
