Funny how we still have our afinity for the so called old guard and still as fans not warmed to most of the new lads brought in. If say sam minihan and ash palmer were in the stand you,d have a quick word in passing. Think we may be wary to say something to say rooney and madden in similar circumstances.

None of these. Their skills and sense of purpose have not been nurtured and the system they have to play should have been left on Mars. Their only failing is that they have not conjured up their own system and played to it for their benefit and that of the fans who, currently, are disillusioned to the point of absenting themselves from the matches. Any half decent players should be able to figure plenty for themselves, I’ve never played a proper game of football in my life, even I can see that passing it around the back 4 for a while followed by lumping it towards Paddy Madden doesn’t work, they should be perfectly capable of trying something else even if the manager doesn’t tell them to. If the statisticians at the club are doing their job, I wonder if they have got the number of minutes the ball is in the air after being kicked by a County player and compared it in the same situation when it is grounded or below knee height. I have posted this before but do so again. Attacking players should be able to dribble the ball through a defence before either taking a shot if in the right position or, passing it to another attacker who is in a better position. Lobbing a ball forward over the heads of the mid-field is putting it into the possession of the opponents who are facing the oncoming ball when our attackers will be more likely to have their backs to it and will only be able to guess when to look around to see where it is falling. Maybe a generalisation but every pass should count by getting to one of our players and not an opponent.

Maybe it’s like those racing drivers who practice on Gran Turismo? Our coaching team wargame each match on FIFA, and every passage of play is on a par with Seaman > Pearce > Gascoigne for Gazza’s famous Euro 96 goal.
Then we arrive at the ground and it turns out the opposition don’t play anything like the CP…

There’s a double standard when it come to this, old players tales are hilarious / current players are a disgrace If you fail to understand why then you'll never get it..

Seeing some of them on Instagram, you’re definitely right in thinking that they think they’re big time rather than playing for a 5th division team. I don’t begrudge any footballer (or anyone) earning what they can, even the Uber rich £300k a week crowd. But don’t be flaunting your new penthouse pad, 20 plate Mercs and multiple new pairs of £150 trainers several times a week if we’re struggling in non-league. Hope they are enjoying showing while they can because none of our squad will be getting another contract on similar or better money either here or elsewhere based on this season so far. As you know Suedehead It’s also a lot of the older guard and Reid who are constantly out getting pissed often after defeats like yesterday and flaunting their footballer lifestyles. If this is the case, then the football side of the club is rotten from top to bottom. Needs a clearing of the lot.
