If 4th and playing some football with a proven manager wasn’t acceptable why is the shit show under Rusk any different ?

I'm a big fan of Mark Stott and think he's done loads right. Led up the garden path with the Gannon sacking. I'm beginning to question him now though. I can't believe Rusk is still here today to be honest. I won't be able to stand watching Wrexham take the piss out of us on Saturday. Going to so grim. I'm going for a 3-0 "Plymouth 96" win, no stopping us after Saturday.... I really hope you’re right

Think about it. This arrangement started (as far as I understand from previous postings) through Wilson interesting Stott in the prospect of Buying Stockport County.
I assume that Wilson had thought through his proposals and promoted the ensuing events regarding the staffing arrangements.
It would appear that Stott left Wilson to get on with that side of the plan whilst he got on with the things he was knowledgeable about; having had a successful business career in those areas.
Apparently, what wasn’t envisaged was that the management of the squad (including all of the new signings) would not be a successful operation.
That outcome now gives problems in as much that the three of them are tied together in a way that will be difficult to unravel. It is not just a simple matter of Rusk or Rusk & Wilson leaving because they have put together the playing structure which is a financial responsibility of Stott.
He will be having worries about how this set back can be resolved without him losing money and face. Thus, it is probably agreed that nothing will be done at present and they will await the events of the next few games.
In the meantime, no doubt Stott is in touch with others from whom he will be seeking advice so that, if necessary, he can bring forward a plan that gives his commitments and expectations another life.
Just my thoughts on the realisation that this is not a standard football club problem.

Kinda understand what you are saying here. In other words it’s a shit show of the highest order and no easy way out of the mess . The problem is Rusk won’t wont win them an egg and spoon race so are we settling again for failure or is mid table National League position the new acceptable ?

I would be surprised if Stott didn't find himself a way through the mess.

As an Owner, you're on a hiding to nothing, but just get the big decisions right and all is forgiven, see Elwood.
For the hard of thinking the big decisions are as follows:
1. No Fans. No Football Club. Look after them. 2. The Stadium is the place of worship. Treat it well. Really f*cking well. 3. Reflect on 1. and 2. 4. The Manager. Pick the best man for the job at hand. 5. Back the Manager. 6. Tell the f*cking players who are moaning about the Manager that he is your Manager and nothing you overpaid gobshites have to say will change that 7. NO. f*ck OFF AND DO YOUR f*ckING JOB THE MANAGE PICKS THE TEAM IF YOU AREN'T PLAYING IT'S BECAUSE YOU AREN'T f*ckING TRING HARD ENOUGH 8. No Training Ground. No training. No f*cking idea on Saturday 3pm.
And that's it really. The rest will take care of itself.
9. NO SERIOUSLY F U C K O F F A N D D O Y O U R F U C K I N G J O B

Stott's January 2020 interview on his takeover: "I've been talking to Richard [Park] for nearly a couple of years." Wilson's March 2020 interview: "I was introduced to Mark Stott about 7 or 8 months ago."
