I reckon the Derby manager could handle a few of our big name players.

For the record, I'm saying I want it to be Beard or that it'd be a good appointment, just that I can see that being a possibility given they really don't want to be making this decision (if they make it). Think you have missed a negative in that sentence in quite an important place!😀 If Rusk stays until Saturday, I can see him being kept until the end of the season. Rightly or wrongly. It will end up making a costly mistake much more expensive.

One less to go for as Aldershot Town have appointed Mark Molesley as First-Team Manager on a deal until the end of the 2022-2023 season.

Derek McInnes please. Come on Stott.. appoint a proper manager and show your intent. Probably the best out of a fairly scarce bunch at the moment.

Does anyone know whether applicants for football manager jobs have to take a training session as part of the interview, a bit like applicants for teaching jobs have to teach a lesson?
Just wondering if we can avoid being bamboozled by badges gained in non-applicable settings again…

Just wondering if we can avoid being bamboozled by badges gained in non-applicable settings again… What difference will it make HH? SW chose Rusk because he ticked a lot if/all the boxes that SW wanted ticking. Those boxes will still be the same, won’t they? Ergo we get Simon Rusk mark II. Unless SW realises he made one almighty balls of replacing the legend that is Jim Gannon with an inexperienced under 23 coach and goes for a completely different managerial profile: experienced with a track record. This would mean handing over more control to the new incumbent. Can you see that happening?

If he goes, I'm going to say it'll be Mark Beard as caretaker manager with an eye on giving it him until the end of the season if he does well. Definitely, I'll be shocked if that isn't the case.
