The problem is there is nobody in charge at County who really understands football properly so there is nobody there who can give the right advice. Stott you can forgive for all he has done for the club, but for some unfathomable reason he has put all his faith in Wilson when there is absolutely nothing to think Wilson has the experience or knowledge to develop our club. Wilson obviously just sees it all as some kind of plaything,a chance to experiment some footballing theory but without any real concept of reality. Where is the correct advice for Stott genuinely going to come from to enable him to make the correct decisions? I do worry that we could be snookered soon. If it gets toxic and they don't change things he could decide to pull out at any point. Saturday has the potential to be grim for everyone. What do all these do on a daily basis? I bet they're all on daft money too. Concerning. We've setup like a Championship club and really f*cked up the MOST important part of the whole thing, the football! No one seems to be doing anything about it either. Jonathan Vaughan - CEO David Ancell - Brand and Communications Director Richard Simkin - Director of Operations Simon Wilson - Director of Football Alex Cowdy - Head of Football Administration Joppe Meulensteen - Head of First Team Analysis Jonathan Smith - Head of Recruitment Theo Bielby - CRM Executive Plus THREE assistant managers in the first team. Jobs for the boys!

Promises to be a horrible day at EP. I wonder if they fully realise just how nasty Saturday could be? If it's anything like Yeovil/Halifax, there won't be polite applause or even just a few boos. It'll be personal abuse and proper anger. It's not right, but that's how it'll be if we turn in another performance like Yeovil. Throw in a big crowd and Wrexham bouncing around and I really wouldn't be surprised to see people on the pitch and it going off all over the ground and down Castle Street. I hope they're prepared for it. Maybe that's what they want? Give Stott a good excuse to cut his losses.

Genuinely never heard of Theo Beilby before that post. For a successful businessman Stott doesn't half throw some money down the drain for things which just aren't necessary I think the problem may be that Stott is trying to run a football club the same as his other businesses. But football isn't like any other business...

Or sponsors, either way, won’t be easy at the minute

Or sponsors, either way, won’t be easy at the minute I thought it was Crew Resource Management and we were getting ready to launch County Airlines. Still not got the hang of that Occam’s Razor!

CRM is database led marketing at my work.
Basically, looking at what people have done before, and contacting them about stuff they might be interested in.
With the upgraded corporate / events space, you’d expect there to be a need for that sort of role.
Basically, another tick for the ‘Stott has all the right ideas off the pitch / no idea about the on pitch’ box

Your 100% right. It's bizarre that the most important job role, the manager, has been given on some whim to an under 23 coach from Brighton. If you're going to blow loads of money,do it it first on a high quality manager. It all comes back to the advice Stott is getting and that Wilson seems to think he has discovered a magic formula for success that no other club has considered. It is pure fantasy, play station,theory-based stuff with no credibility.

Not saying there isn’t a lot more staff but most of those roles are rebadged from ones we’ve had previously.
Football admin role is just the old club sec. the brand and Comms role is just a glorified title and I think he’s still working across the VITA brand. Head of recruitment is basically chief scout that we’ve had previously going back decades.
Just fancy titles.
Two assistant managers and then another first team coach is excessive and they are all welcome to leave when Rusk finally departs as well.

Head of recruitment might be chief scout but then we have head of scouting north and head of scouting south. I agree some of these roles are just rebranding of old ones but there are plenty of people at the club right now being paid to do not an awful lot.

How many of his other businesses will have dozens of people doing jobs that could be done by a fraction? I seem to recall from an interview, it might have been when he first bought us, that he like surrounding himself in experts in their fields in each of his businesses and he wanted to do the same here. On paper I guess you could say he has done that, but I think the issue is football is a very different business from anything else.

This keyboard warrior could see this start to the season coming a mile off before a ball was kicked and predicted it on here whereas seemingly no one in the club did.

Again though, we’ve had scouts in the past as well as a chief scout. They’ve just been given fancy head of region titles. It’s a bit of window dressing. The concern for me on staff numbers is beard, Conlon and McGhee. There should only really be one of them.
