Yawn. Why do people have to go blabbing? Not aimed at you Suedehead but the guys involved. Do your business quietly and talk about it once the deal is done. Lost credibility straight away with bullshit flying around the messageboards and people jumping to conclusions regarding the march but nobody there to deny/confirm it. Saint Saviour does himself no favours with his riddles but to be fair he seems to have done a lot for the club over the years and Fitzy is somebody who the majority would like involved. Don't write them off just yet but they'll have to appease the fans at some point after this PR cock up. And somebody clear up what's happening on the 21st before it descends into farce. To be fair, he did post this earlier which clarifies things IMO. I will be at the protest. Not to champion SS or anybody interested in taking over / investing etc. but to protest against the shambolic way our club has been run destroyed. members3.boardhost.com/marionsboard/msg/1386098938.html

If he can genuinely get into the club and make us ace then I have no problem with that whatsoever. It'd be welcomed. My concern was that he was bringing the fans together to force the current board/owners out just so he could then step in and have it all for himself. Whether that is what is going to happen or not remains to be seen. As I've said three or four times already today, marching to remove the incumbent clowns is one thing. But marching to install SS et al as our new leaders is quite another as we know very little about them. Some are saying that anything is better than we've got. That's bollocks. Have we learnt nothing from the Melrose/Evans debacles?

I don't get the fuss to be honest. Surely nobody wants to maintain the status quo, so if this protest leads to change, whether from the chap leading the march or another party, then great, bring it on.
Nothing positive will happen with the current lot in charge, that much seems obvious now. Any change is worth a go, for me.

I'm a bit in both camps really. Nothing can be worse than where we are with these owners so surely it's worth giving anybody a chance BUT I also think we will only get one more shot at it before we die for good so we need to ensure we place the life of the club in the correct hands.
I'll be marching, I appreciate what Suedehead is saying that if we were being used as pawns then we had a right to know. You did the right thing but now SS has been open (for once) we should go for it.
We need to force change.

I disagree. Admittedly they'd have to be pretty f*cking dreadful to be worse but there are utter c-words out there like Stephen Vaughan. He'd be worse. Or that div from York. I'm not saying SS is anything like that, but we do have to be careful what happens next. And fair play to SS for being honest. Hopefully he'll carry on with it.

Fair points, I suppose I'm thinking only of a takeover by someone with positive intentions. A group that will invest in the team, positively market the club and only want the best for the club. If that's the case then I'd swap tomorrow, I'm just bored of the monotony of bad news and bad defeats.

Suedehead did the right thing in questioning the intentions behind this march, SS has offered a good explanation which I accept and now I'll be walking on the 21st.

Re: 21st dec march Posted by Saint SaviourUser Info on 3/12/2013, 7:28 pm, in reply to "21st dec march " I know my intentions were set in motion without motive other than the 4 objectives I outlined right at the outset. I provided Total Clarity. I expected to be walking alone and protesting with my one man banner but was overwhelmed by the support from far and wide. Days after I popped my head up "yes days after" I was approached to help a selective set of business county fans who thought I could help "wouldn't we all if we could".? So my conscience is totally clear. I set a protest in motion to help rid our club of the silent seven. I responded to a call for help from a group of guys who only have the very best of intentions to relieve our club of its dire position. I listened and I believe I can help. No motive, clear conscience. I will be protesting for the 4 objectives on Dec 21st. If that's alone then that's as I envisaged when I popped my head up.. But if you all walk with me I am telling you, you will help achieve something that was impossible for years... One fanbase, supporting one complete set of people as they all have the same affection for Scfc that you do... Over to you... Thats better.

I'm still very suspicious here.
We've finally got the co-op up, running and starting to look like it might be going places.
A regular poster, and one of the main ITK/speaking in riddles type poster at that suggests a march of vague 'Down with this sort of thing' goals, with the one more specific goal all in the favour of two particular shareholders.
He's later contacted by another 'interested party' who want to get on board.
Something here really stinks of Melrose...
we should have learnt by now that people dropping secret hints and ITK stuff usually turns out to be utter bollocks and to be suspicious, but no, a large proportion of our fans fall for it every single time.

March against the marcher?

The march has to show the clowns ruining our club that some of us won't stand for any more crap. I'm expecting to get up North for this although it may only be in time to join part-way along the route.

Or as Big Fella alluded to yesterday, there may be a confidentiality agreement in place somewhere which means he can't say anything or too much? Further to this, he has been asked by some other people for input. That he made quite clear last night, so let's just wait and see. I agree people shouldn't get excited but we also shouldn't knock people before we know what is happening.

I don't know why he didn't just post his comments initially when asked, or even before just to get it out of the way.
To spend so much time not answering questions and talking in riddles was bizarre and unhelpful.
