Is this us acting all Premier League-y now then, like you say? Or are we just totally commercially unaware? It's slightly alarming how badly, such a successful businessman, seems to be doing at spending wisely/getting value for money etc. Could well be he has no intention of running us as a successful business. That would line up with all the profligate showbusiness I commented on in another thread - a vanity project rather than a genuine investment. And to be honest, it doesn’t bother me at all, so long as he doesn’t lump all the costs on us in the form of debt

This would have allowed us to kick start the process ages ago as a.n.other football club, so makes sense and tallies with all the rumours and ITK stuff that’s come out. That was a joke, probably Happens more than you think. Allows for confidential recruitment ahead of a high profile role officially becoming available. Football management particularly.

He has of course promised to convert it to shares, but the more he loans us because we’re running at a loss (SB), the more the club needs to be worth for it to make sense for him to do so.

Like I say, unless we’re just a vanity project that isn’t meant to make him money I don’t really understand why he wouldn’t have just put cash in like the Fylde and Dover owners have done in that case (to name but two), but it’s possible the arrangement makes financial sense in other ways beyond County simply making a profit. I could barely get my head round a single company’s finance back in the day, and certainly don’t know the ins and outs of the connected party rules…

And if we don't get DC, now we have to butter up choice number 2, 3 or 4 to make them feel special.. This is very Spursy Is this us acting all Premier League-y now then, like you say? Or are we just totally commercially unaware? More of the latter
