NZ 132 AO Eng 100 for 6 (were 59-0) Some things don't change! They heard the rain is forecast from day 3 onwards, so decided to try and get it finished tomorrow

They give a debut to the young, talented, most in-form bowler in the CC and look what happens.
Meanwhile, despite the batting being terrible for a number of years they stick with the same failures and it produces the same results. Get Brook, Compton and maybe even Malan back at in there at three hopefully we’ll be a different batting team.

Lees and Crawley are what they are but they were helped by T20 mode Southee and Bolt.
Pope out playing at 5th stump line again.
Root was out playing his shot but read the day. Just get to close. We didn't need runs.
Bairstow hasn't played a red ball game all year. Set up to fail.
Stokes was just a poor shot. Played on adrenaline.
The rest are bowlers.
My concern is now. Parkinson will be bowling on a flat deck at Lords for a debut, gets tonked and cast aside.
Let's hope the bowlers get a good night's sleep!

Just how old are southee and boult. They seem to be permanent fixtures in test cricket longer than our stay in non league.

Both great bowlers to. Surprised they left Wagner out as well, I rate him.

Wasn’t great when he played for Lancashire though.

Only at Lords. If you go to anywhere other than a London ground you can get a ticket for £25 in a family stand or £40 with the all day drinkers. It's a good day out even if you're not into cricket. Like anywhere tho it's about £6 a pint..

Like anywhere tho it's about £6 a pint.. For a test? Think £40's a bit optimistic unless it's against someone like Bangladesh. Got back into going to tests regularly in the last few years and I don't think I've paid as little as £40 anywhere. It's usually £69/£70+ and often over £100. Paid £70 for day 3 at Headingley at the end of this month and, yes, £130(!) for day 1 at Lord's this August. Paid £90 for day 4 at Headingley in 2019 which was, of course, the biggest bargain ever.

Anyway, tomorrow will be a bargain. Quite probably a great hour and a half or so, and half your ticket price back. 😄
