Not sure if it is to do with all the confusion with the change of coach and captain but you would have thought that they would know today's game is an ODI not T20 !!!! Roy is clueless looks like a number 11 if the ball moves about we have better options to open than him, 1 hundred and 2 50s in last 3 years isnt good enough Some exceptional bowling early doors and big toss to win though and got away from us in first 30 mins He is some bowler that Bumrah in English conditions, virtually unplayable today.

Something that regularly happens in one day limited over matches especially the 20 over lottery.

Something that regularly happens in one day limited over matches especially the 20 over lottery. it could but whilst we have loads of hitters on flat decks that will come off big time we lack a little bit of nous still for trickier pitches, Root going early didnt help as he normally ticks over and glues things together to allow others to express themselves After that its shit or champagne stuff, they just need to be a bit smarter at times we are and still remain world class white ball batting side But stuff to work on Livingstone doesnt make the most of his talent tremendous hitting power and swing arc but thick as mince temperament wise fine in t20 but in 50 overs times need to rein it in and strip it back a bit Capable of 120m 6s but he overhits too much in search of them so doesnt strike ball consistently and short changes you a bit Doesnt help these lads play no domestic 50 over stuff because of the shite hundred competition, as Royal London 50 over takes place at same time with young lads and reserve players used instead

Great start for England. Need to drive home their advantage and 7/8 down before the ball dies.
If you are stuck for anything to do today, Offerton CC 2s are playing at The Paddock and the bar will be open.

Can see why the Safricans didn’t see the need to extend the game to Tuesday

This could be very tricky for England. Amazing when they were about 68% on CricViz yesterday. Wouldn't fancy chasing much more than 200 tomorrow, even given our feats this summer.

Weather will be at its best tomorrow, looks like it might cloud over around three today.

Watched his documentary last night. Very good watch and extremely insightful into the causes of his mental health fragility some of which were very surprising to me.

Really excellent decision to give Stokes the captaincy. He’s completely transformed the mentality around the team and his performances have been brilliant - especially with the ball, a tad reckless with the bat perhaps.
Great to see Ollie Robinsons improved fitness and pace too this summer. Finally someone has managed to put pressure on Broad and Anderson, relegating Broad to first change (not that Broad has done anything wrong, Robinson just been too good not to open).
Still massive questions about the opening batters though. Lees doesn’t look like a dependable batsman and I get that they just want Crawley to be able to contribute by being a stroke maker so he will fail a bit, however I just don’t think anyone who averages 30 in county championship will ever be a test match player, he’ll simply get out for low scores too much to justify a double hundred every 4 years.
Really looking forward to the Pakistan series this winter, not played there since the series after the 2005 Ashes when we came up against an unbelievably fired up Shoaib Akthar and a strong Pakistan batting unit.

T20 World Cup groups announced -
England's group looks a nightmare, the Lankans had a strong series against Aus in all formats, even Ireland just knocked out 2-time champions West Indies...
