Bit of an update, registration is now back open. We've restricted it quite heavily over the past couple of months and only let 2/3 new members on while we did a bit of housekeeping. We've completed that now and anybody wishing to join can now do so.
Usual couple of points that have been in place for a long time now, you'll either need to:
- provide us proof of who you are (one of: copy of ID,l ink to an active social media account, proof of a work email)
or
- have an existing user vouch for you.

Just updating this with some housekeeping. We have gone through the members list and cleared out several hundred posters. These are generally people who haven't logged in for at least the past nine months (some were going back years). Those accounts have been deleted. There's a few who haven't logged in for ages but we recognise the names or know them personally, those accounts are still active. Next on the list are those who regularly log in but rarely post. We don't expect everyone to be posting on here all day but if you have an account please contribute. Otherwise you're just eating through the ad-free views and not giving anything back. We'll give it a few weeks but anyone who is regularly logging in and not contributing after that time will have their accounts deleted. We can see exactly when each user last logged in and when they last posted so it's not a difficult task for us. For clarity, we're talking about people who post once every three or four months, or not at all. If you contribute even once a week, that's fine. We totally get not everyone has the time/capacity to be on here all the time. Finally, we've removed a couple of people this week. We don't like doing it, especially with established posters, but will do if we think it's necessary. TRE and I own this board, spend a lot of time running it and spend a lot of money hosting it and providing the service, ably supported by the mods. We have total discretion over who comes on here and who stays on here and will remove people if we want to. We try and be patient and lenient but it's not a democracy. As Christine used to say on Marions, posting is a privilege, not a right. As I've said loads of times before, this is a great little community. It's by far and away the best place to chat about County and the quality of discussion about all topics is testament to the members on here. And let's not forget that we're representing County on here too. Plenty of fans of other clubs, journalists etc come on here. Let's give a good account of ourselves. ✌️ It's that time again, kids! We've had a look through daily visitors, post counts etc and numbers are as strong as ever but there's LOADS of people logging in a lot but not posting anything. We're not talking only posting once a week, it's people not posting anything, ever. If that's you, consider this a 7 day warning. After that, we'll have another cull of non-posting members. All they're doing is just chewing through the ad-free views that others are very generously contributing towards. As I said back in the summer, we absolutely don't expect people to be posting loads every single day, but if you are logging in regularly then it's not too much to expect a post or two every now and then. The board is as good as we all make it so please do contribute. If TRE or I know you personally or recognise your name then there's no worries, and similarly if you've been around for a long time and posted plenty but aren't around as much now that's also cool. It's those who have joined, have never contributed but log in daily that are in our sights. The remorseless scythe of Yellowboard goes on. |

Out of interest do you see more stuff like this when we’re doing better? Or is the amount of people asking to join consistent regardless of league position? |
