240 people employed by county is mental. There will be premier league teams with less people.

Will that not include all the playing staff, development players, football in the community lot as well though? I suspect it’s in line with what most clubs in league one/ championship have depending on their youth/ community outreach setups are.

It will, however it's an increase from 91 from the previous accounts. That's quite an expansion.

Yeah, exactly. I'm the same. I'm not overly concerned about Stott pulling the plug or having bad intentions or anything like that, he's done absolutely nothing for us to be suspicious of. We couldn't really have asked for more from him. But we'd be stupid not to discuss it. Things happen, as you say. Thanks for your answers. As we are being run in the same way as the vast majority of clubs are being run it seems pointless at the moment discussing anything that might or might not happen in the future. If we were really unique then there might be a point but we are not and just a bit richer now than some others who are also in debt without the income we are getting. As with other teams on-field practices etc, I'm not bothered what other clubs do. If everything falls down around us, we can't just say 'well, look at all the other clubs, they're just as bad'. We'll probably be fine, as will most other clubs. But we've just spent the majority of the past decade as a part time regional club precisely because we couldn't manage our finances. I know we're in a very different state now, and Stott, Vaughan etc aren't comparable to Fearn, McKnight et al but they're still genuine questions and things we should always be asking. Given our recent history, we'd be f*cking idiotic not to be wary.

We were starting from 0 on that, so there would be a big increase.

I'm not criticising or saying it's too many as I have no idea who they are and what they do.

Some fan Simon Wilson with ostrich feathers, others peel grapes and pop them one at a time into his mouth. Duh.

Yes, I am probably conflating two separate issues as I still think our management structure is a bit bloated, but I'm not the multi-millionaire here so. Think it's also been said quite a few of the staff are doing dual roles with Stott's property business and County as well.
Certainly an eyeopener on football industry as the business I work for is employing around 80 people and turning over £80m a year!

Just seen on a County FB post that we also have a Academy Performance Nutritionist, that post will no doubt be one of those new roles. I guess it’s a must have though if we have ambitions to have an academy capable of developing players who can make the grade/sell on at a decent profit.

Could it be those working in catering, banqueting etc now that it's in-house? Might not all be full time either

Given the growing tax losses at County no point in pushing more cost through it, if people are doing dual roles surely it makes sense to expense them in Vita.

Literally every single football club ownership that involves wealth ends that way. Yes I suppose, although it was quite refreshing to look at the Leyton Orient set up after Pugwash posted a note that they had converted a couple of million of debt to equity. Expecting to find the usual smoke and mirrors they actually did convert debt in topco and the company that owns them have £17M share capital and no debt. The Nottm Forest one amazes me, the owner gets plaudits for converting £25M into equity when again it is converting inter company loans which the club will never be able to pay back and the company that owns Forest owes £135M However the latest tweets from Kieran Maguire show Orients accumulated losses at £17m so not particularly healthy position either.

Agree, most football clubs run massive accumulated losses but in Orients case the losses are covered by share capital...............shareholders can't ask for their money back.
