You'll probably see some ads on here for the next day or so, the next batch of ad-free days isn't due to kick in until 1st September.
As ever, if anybody would like to contribute anything, no matter how small, it's always hugely appreciated.
We've got about half a million page views in the bank at the moment, but numbers have rocketed recently with the match threads so we'll burn through this pretty quickly.

To be honest, I don't find the ads that bad really.
Thought they'd be something like on the MEN or other regional news websites, where they crop up halfway through an article.
As long as they aren't in between posts, then not really a biggie for me.
BTW, are the ads the same for everyone? Or are they based on recent Internet history? It seems mine are based on recent websites I've been on.

The only ads I've seen are the those from ProBorads themselves, the banner across the top advertising ad free browsing across all their forums for $2.99 per month and the "Can we talk" one across the bottom, both of which I can live with.
Mind you I use a good ad blocker, uBlockOrigin which I can highly recommend.

The ads are back at the moment as we've just used up a pack of 50,000 views and don't want to put another on as it cuts off at the end of the month, it won't roll into October. So tomorrow morning the ads will be gone, but we could do with a few more in the bank now views are really ramping up. We're consistently getting highest ever amount of views pretty much every day now, this will only increase once the games start properly.
They're not hugely intrusive and I know many are happy to live with them but if you can chuck a few quid in the pot, please use the link at the bottom of the page.

When I look at this board via a mobile, I see ads, but not when I'm using a laptop.
Why does this happen?
Do we need any paid days to be added at the moment?

We’ve changed it so guests see ads, otherwise they’re chewing up ad-free sessions that members have paid for without contributing/posting. This works different from Marion’s in so much as we don’t have a number of days, it’s number of views. You can buy as few as 50,000 ad-free views, but at the moment we’re doing that each match day 🤯 We’ve still got a few 100k in the bank, and TRE and I have a monthly pot we pay out of but any contributions are greatly received. |
