What was so bad about it out of interest? I would rather go into it when I’m sober in the morning but the crux of it was that being surrounded by people just there for an evening out was really disheartening. Nobody joined in any songs. Even simple stuff like IO County or Dave Challinor’s Blue and White Army I was left singing on my own. There was a bit of it after their goal but it died almost as quickly as it started. Then there’s having to listen to people waxing lyrical about everything Salford were doing, before chatting about the latest thing happening in the Premier League. Throw all that in with the shit view (I don’t like end on) and it was a pretty miserable experience. It mostly reminded me of Wembley 08, without a roof, with a worse view and without promotion at the end of it. No offence SH but you keep going on about Wembley 08 like it was your worst day ever 😆

I will usually like posts when people talk about it lacking atmosphere and such but I very rarely talk about it myself.

Apologies then I’ve seen it mentioned a few times and I thought it was by yourself. Sorry. I quite enjoyed the day.

Knoyle isn’t an obvious upgrade for me. You don’t think he’s an obvious upgrade on Minihan who can’t make Halifax’s 16 or find a loan move that suits him? Sam is a County legend but taking the emotion out of it Knoyle is an obvious upgrade and it’s not really one I thought anybody would try and debate. Based on their performances for us this season I’d go with him over MSH too but can see the argument there. He’s not an upgrade on MSH who was first choice in his position last season.

Decent first half . Average second . Not sure I’ve seen a 90 min complete performance so far this season . Sorry but I don’t see we have much to come off the bench to change things when Madden is out of sorts . Stretton another no show . Olafe clearly not trusted .Games against promotion contenders are going to be close so a draw not unexpected , it’s the points dropped against the park the bus sides that will cost us automatic and where we should have played with a high tempo and gone for it . The message to the players from management is too negative it’s clean sheet and try and win it 1-0 . We have better players than that but overall think Orient apart the division is very even or bang average however you want to call it .
There are twists and turns still to come but we are not in pole position for an automatic just yet . It can still be done through POs of course and defensively we look very solid apart from markings from throw ins

Normally I am disappointed with a home draw but I think that it is a fairly neutral result. It keeps Salford a point behind us and the games are ticking away. Ultimately I don't think we will get auto9matic promotion now (hope I am wrong) but, baring a catastrophe, we should make the paly offs ....and then it's anyone's game.

We do seem to be attracting more of these types of people at games, I was chatting to someone out and about recently who had a County scarf on, turns out he was a utd supporter until someone took him to the Bolton game and now he’s a season ticket holder, I supposed our perceived success and the whole circus and costs around the prem means we’ll see more of this for a while or until the novelty wears off.

To everyone saying we’re not good enough to go up. 3 of us, Stevenage, Carlisle, Northampton, Salford, Bradford, Mansfield or Sutton will be going up. Are 3 of them really better than us? We’re good enough to go up. Automatic is probably slipping out of reach now but who knows what we’ll bring to the playoffs. And if Madden buries that chance first half (I think he’s not match fit as this is very like the Paddy who first signed for us and also when he was rushed back from the playoffs) then we’re level with Carlisle and only a point off third. Sure they scored a great goal (thanks to our defenders just leaving him wide open) but I don’t see them sticking two past us. I mean those draws will cost us and scoring has been an issue of late with Woots and Madden not been on form, will we get top 3? probably not playoffs are most looking likely but I will be watching Orient vs Carlisle and Nortampton and Stevenage later today hoping Orient and Northampton can do us a favor

It’s still in our hands but four home draws in the last seven fixtures since losing at Barrow and only four goals scored. Had we won our last four home games we would be three points off Leyton Orient. Surely we can’t afford anymore slip ups and Six points over Easter is certainly achievable and a must return to stay in the automatic promotion race. Missing Collar and hope he is back for Sutton. What’s still in our hands? Automatic promotion isn’t.

True, but apart from paddy,s effort and the free kick second half we didn,t look like getting the second either. If we are going to maintain our PO position then our away form will do it not home draws which seem to be coming too regulary now for me. Cannot really say they parked the bus either and i hate say it but they deserved the point they got. They,d certainly have been the happier side coming off at half time by keeping us down to one goal and the warning sign for their goal came before we scored giving the player the space he needed.

Haven't read through all the posts as I've stayed out much later than the wife is happy with ... but, if we'd carried on 2nd half like we did 1st ... Challinor was scared of losing for me

Its the experiance of the last time we were in the second tier just repeating itself. We are going to get even more new fans and those rolling up just to watch a game once we are promoted and EP is redeveloped. Some will stay, but like at all clubs on the up many will drift away once we have a poor season. Over 10k last night but i have heard more noise at EP with half that number inside.

We really lack mental toughness when it counts. You mean like winning 4 out of our last 5 away games. Forget last night its the home games against teams that have no ambition apart from parking a couple of buses we have a problem with. Are we unique in this or are the others in the same boat as us in this respect. Different players in different league with other managers have always caused us problems in getting 3 points at EP by our inability to break em down and the shithouse tactics they get away with. Thank goodness last night that salford did show some attacking football as with that ref dumped on us last night would have struggled with one using all the dark arts available.
