Why don’t we have players guarding the posts at corners, it really bugs me that we don’t, JG used to do the same when he was in charge.

Not convinced that was a 2nd Yellow for Wright, he just seemed to slip & fall over into the path of their player. I think if he wasn't already on a yellow the ref just gives a foul there. It wasn't dangerous play & you couldn't call it a scoring chance on the half way line, it did check their potential breakaway granted, maybe it looked more deliberate from a different angle. Certainly not in the same league of silliness as Paddy's stamp against Swindon. It wasn,t a guarenteed caution for me even though it was a foul. Not all fouls are cautions and the ref would have known he,d done him earlier. Surely a bit of common sense and the time of when it happened should have come into it. If it had been one of their players i,d have thought the same.

I think Wright just runs across their man, doesn't even look to me like a cynical effort to stop the break, more an honest but clumsy attempt to fight back for possession, and in any case there's at least one defender goalside of the supposed 'breakaway'. Also not sure I agree with JK (and most here) that Horsfall's ball into Wright is so poor as to make the misconstrol that led to the foul inevitable. It's the 94th minute and we're desperate for the equaliser, I think moving the ball quickly is what we need to be doing, and a league quality footballer should be able to make a better fist of receiving that pass. Having said that.. maybe it's not so much the pace of it but that it's just the wrong ball- Horsfall could have gone long, then looks like he changes his mind. The more general impression I get from the highlights does echo something already said here..their team spirit is more evident than ours, and they seem to want it more at crucial moments. Compare and contrast our limp defending for both goals, with their last-ditch blocks to deny first Hippolyte then Evans late on. I also think (although I might be imagining this) that even our celebration of the opening goal looks strangely subdued (I'm not talking about Horsfall, who is doing the muted scoring against ex club thing, I mean collectively)..compared to their standardly rapturous exultations for both of theirs. It just all looks a bit pedestrian from us.. let's hope this week in training has showed a massive reaction which the lads (whichever ones picked..) will take into Saturday.

We seem a team everyone wants to beat and now back in the league we are seen as a big scalp because of our money. Know they were having a comeback but still wonder if they were playing harrogate, with little noise from their away fans, therefore less of an atmosphere their team spirit might not have been as good.
