It should only be sung when we have no hope of winning a game or in a pub at a late hour. It should be law. Edit: on trains or coaches home also acceptable I'd go as far as saying should only be in the pub pre/post match (arguably on just away days) and/or on trains/coaches. Tends to just trail away mid song when the game is on before it rouses a bit near the end. It's a song that requires a lot of people's attention and tends to be best paired with a pint in hand. Needs to be a hearty crowd rather than just a ragtag bunch of people. On the Concourse at Barnet away in the FA Cup a few years ago was done properly imo Hayes and Yeading away at Woking, last day of the season, best ever Arthur, someone can post a link to the game highlights where it comes across beautifully. (I thinks it’s Stranded who normally does the business whenever I mention that game).

Every time it is mentioned it takes me back to Norwich and our last game in division one. Took a half time pause, then picked up without missing a beat as soon as the whistle blew for the second half. Belting.

On the Concourse at Barnet away in the FA Cup a few years ago was done properly imo Hayes and Yeading away (at Woking’s ground) at the end of our first season in non league was one of the best I’ve been in at a game. Unusually a break from the “only when we’re losing” mantra and more a “well that was shit but with Jim Gannon back, next season looks bright” take. Ably lead by a certain village idiot, occasionally of this parish. That stand at Woking is great, nice low roof over a terrace, with a seated kop opposite to bounce the sound back (especially with no home fans in it) it was great. Shame every time we’ve been there in a segregated game we’ve been stuck on the side.

Also I’d never seen this before (and haven’t watched it now either so don’t know how well it comes across) but here’s one from inside the stand

I don't care if a certain County fan is on a bender, but Gary Neville is highly unlikely to be a sex offender..... another wank chant from UT3.

As usual. This obsession with calling people who clearly aren't paedophiles paedophiles is ignorant and not remotely amusing.
Trivialises an important issue.

Heard a good few Brownlow's over the years but 2 that standout for me were one in a pub in Hitchin after the Luton game in 96/97 & pre-game outside a boozer on Colwyn bay high st.

Few mentioning Wootton doesn't have a song in today's match thread, but there was one sung in UT3 today, along with a Rydel song... sadly I can't remember the words, but the Rydel one mentions running down the wing and hear the County sing.
Also, Chally is the one, he still turns me on...County's going up again!!!

Kyle Woottons - Singing doo wah Diddy Diddy doom Diddy doo Running past defenders Scoring one or two He looks good He looks good He looks fine He looks fine Kyle Woottons on my mind And he's Countys number 19
it's a chant that most clubs have for strikers.
The challinor one is just the Southgate one and the rydel one is a song that was sung by Manchester United (the team I recognise it from anyway) for ronaldo.

The Rydel song is the one Blackpool sang (sing?) for Charlie Patino to the tune of You Are Not Alone by Michael Jackson. “He’s Ryan Rydel…” and then I don’t know the rest. Also, the last line of Wootton’s is “and he’s scoring all the time” isn’t it? County’s number 19 scans horrendously.

I know the Charlie patino chant but I don't see how that works for Ryan rydel.
