Just thinking about punishment fitting the crime. 70 quid if you pay up. I was done 100 at morrisons a few weeks back reduced to 50 if i paid up in a certain time for overstaying my welcome by 15 minutes. Not in stockport by the way. 100 quid for parking. Same as allowing your dog to shit on the pavement and leaving it. Know which i find worse. Hope you didn't pay them Timbers, easier to fight the private firns than the council.

Presumably you have to get there early to grab one of those places so could you grab a space on the car park across the Rod by the reservoirs ? Won’t resolve the outstanding ticket issue but could work in the longer term and is only a few yards further away. Surprised that one is still free for a saturday afternoon being the easiest one for the CE and Pop without the need to cross the main road. Do not tell the council as they might have forgotton it exists.

No only because i have pushed it in the past and got away with it. Like being caught speeding where you have pushed your luck in the past.

I'm retired, so I've got time for all this "tilting at windmills" stuff. If it was an honest mistake and a one-off visit somewhere I'd just pay the £35 and damn their eyes but as this is somewhere I like to park at least 25 times a year, i think it's worth pursuing. Presumably you have to get there early to grab one of those places so could you grab a space on the car park across the Rod by the reservoirs ? Correct, we only got the last one yesterday and we were there just after one o'clock. We take a packed lunch, eat it in the car, read the paper, watch the end of the early game on my phone, chat to the Civil Enforcement Officers about parking tickets, then stroll to the ground around two o'clock. Rock n'roll 🤘😈 The car park on Cheadle Old Road by the reservoir is usually full even earlier, I wonder if residents use that so they can come and go during the afternoon. Besides, getting out of it afterwards is absolutely hellish because cars in the queue to get out onto Edgeley Road don't leave a gap.

I'm sure stott and Co have ideas and are thinking, I understand its tough because of the location of the ground but I hope we get a car park sorted for next season. I mean a proper one. I go with family which require blue badge and the closest we get is infront of the library. But we're getting there 3 hours before KO and we don't buy any food or drink in the ground unless we really need it so we end up sitting there for longer than the match lasts.

Parked up, went in, ate, drove off. Didn’t even consider we needed to pay/register our car. £60 if paid in 14 days or £100 after that.

B&Q car park is free and I always use there when having a wander round town for a few hours, less than 10 minute walk. About 20 minutes to EP.

Fair enough, but that does seem a long/grim walk to me from EP to B&Q. parked there against tranmere and unless there's no where else I won't be doing it again. The distance ain't the problem it's the slight hill all the way up to the park. After match it was a breeze as your going down hill or maybe its just because we won.

Anyone else caught in the problems at the station NCP last night with the barriers not working? Took me half an hour to get out but the app thinks I’m still there, waiting to hear back from NCP customer services

Doubt we will see one big enough for fans. One big enough for blue badge holders and those who travel miles to home matches is what it needs. Really those two catogary of fan have no other option if they want to see a game and for me after driving 45 miles to EP i do not want to walk to and from the town centre or hang around for a park and ride in both directions. Last saturday all i wanted was to get to hell out of the place as quickly as possible and get home.

Any car park will be behind the pop side, it’s certainly not going to be a quick getaway from there.

Pity Mark Stott did not arrive a few years earlier when the undeveloped booth street was up for grabs.
