As a resident of Levenshulme, Cibus (Italian) is really good. Levenshulme also great for beer drinkers too. Station Hop Fred’s OverDraught (30 taps) Station South Nordie Talleyrand For Brunch options Nordie Trove Station south Aunti Ji’s Vegan restaurant and bar Gherkin a short walk too I grew up in Levenshulme, and the idea of any of this happening say, 10 years ago, would have been laughable, I’m so glad it’s turned a corner, though I guess if it had been like that back then we wouldn’t have been able to live there! Sugo is impeccable, as is Rudy’s. If you like dirty American pizza then Corner Slice in Failsworth is amazing. Not sure how often most on here are round N Mcr but I think they have a place in town now too? instagram.com/corner.slice?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=Triple B Burgers in Prestwich is pretty great. Overall we’ve a long way to go to catch up with south Manchester and Stockport.

Yeah Marples crap for food. It blows my mind everytime I go back home to see my parents and I look at what's around to order. Feels like anyone would clean up there if they just went there and did a good job. Just somewhere doing wood fired Neopolitan pizzas would make a fortune, there's plenty of money out there and little competition for food. Woodstock does good pizza, to be fair. Have a stroll down the canal to the other Bull's Head in High Lane, their pizzas are great, 2 for a tenner on Wednesday's too.

The Cambodian in Marple is a favourite. Called in the Mekong Cat before Xmas which was excellent. Recently had the taster menu at six by Nico. Fancy food Based on a chippy menu. Really good. Also a shout for the Pack Horse in Hayfield. Proper posh pub food without being arsey.

Cauliflower Cheese is a beautiful thing but not on a Sunday dinner. Get thee behind me devil. Cauliflower- delicious; cheese=food of the devil. Cauliflower cheese ruins a roast.

The change is pretty impressive, I’ve always lived in S Manchester but I’ve been in Levenshulme for around 10 years and it’s changed so much. Weekly Saturday food / craft market at the station car park. If you don’t follow goings on in the area, check out Station South. AmaIng work done there

Crazy Pedros in Manchester is great for pizza, by the slice or an enormous whole one if you can. Decent beer selection too. Bunny Jackson’s if you fancy some glorious 20/30p chicken wings with the only condition being you have to buy an alcoholic drink. I opened BJ's back in the day, they still use my recipe for their chicken wings 😉 Sugo is easily some of the best pasta you'll eat. I recently had a breakfast at Gooey which was mega and Habas too, was stunning. My go to places for food: Sugo Rudys Kongs Hawksmoor

If you want a cheap but tidy lunch you could do much worse than this n that Indian Cafe in the Northern Quarter, piles the food on your plate with a variety of options and all at a great price.
