not very level headed this week, was getting angrier and angrier today with the lack of urgency and seeming endeavour to win the game, I've just about calmed down now 😂😂 One of the things that winds me up the most is when players leave the ball for others to retrieve it to take a set piece. It shouldn't bug me, but it does, especially when we are drawing...and I'm reaching for the blood pressure tablets when they do it when we're losing!! But not in Lewis’ case, at least twice he booted a free kick into touch reminding me of the mad Zaire player V Brazil free kick in 74 when he should have left it to Ben

We’re a lot tougher team than last year in a physically tougher league. Big big difference from last year… no easy points (apart from Crewe) People on here mostly don’t remember our miserable fourth division performances from 69 to 1991. The message from those years you have to physically compete and be defensively sound even with Lewis in charge and grind out lots of results in March onwards. Apart from the odd Alan Thompson Terry Park Steve Massey Eddie Garbett inspired revival we were beaten up uncompetitive and outmuscled year after year in the 70s 80s Im delighted on our complete control v no shots Swindon I’ve been around long enough to spot a big Friday night game. Victor Bernard GO Go County. We must dominate physically and beat Salford This is the most Quentin Tarantino County post ever and I love it 💙⚽️ Thanks DS. I’m working on a Les Bradd/Werner Herzog one for later in the season.

Rarely felt so angry after such a massive win, Challinor will have found out about a few players today who showed why they don't get regular game time Paper over some cracks that, the lack of urgency, tempo and intensity but most of all desire to give impression we were desperate to force the 3pts was worrying I hate it when desperate for a goal and ball goes out for a goal kick and our nearest player turns and just jogs upfield making Ben run extra 30 yards to get ball and get it in play, the body language to force a win needs to be much more No variation or mix of patterns to our play at all took a break away goal and finally a run from a midfielder to break the deadlock It was too easy for too long for Swindon and changes should come much earlier IMO Big opportunity next week playing Friday a win would be huge with Stevenage and Northampton playing each other a win for us means can sit back and watch on with no bad result for us in that game Individually, Ben had nothing to do as expect Knoyle tried to make few runs splitting full back and centre half but hasn't offered much in attacking way for a while not in MSH league for me Rydel terrible 1st half and played like he had a cob on from being called out by DC, 2nd half to his credit better and made the goal Wright taken off didn't see any of his marauding runs forward to create the overloads down the sides, not at level we have seen from him would still have left him on though and got clear message over to him to be braver on the ball Hussey, thought was very poor today little quality going into the box and too slow.and lethargic on it Byrne worrying limped off seems certain to be out for a bit hopefully rumours of Horsfall back for Friday are true and it isn't too much of a loss Croasdale MOTM by a mile even without his goal, progressive passes not normally his forte but was only one who played any and popped up with deserved goal Camps, absolutely useless, can someone please tell me what he does he was embarrassing, ok bossing it against 18 Yr old on Tuesday but he played game walking pace, never carries the ball, no killer pass, no breaks from midfield an absolute waste of a shirt, some people seem to lap up the odd pretty thing he does in a game but he has no impact or work rate Evans, dire, big opportunity for him today and showed no real quality or did anything to suggest his days here are anything but numbered still don't know what his position is, another who picked up daft yellow Wootton, didnt really play to his strengths, quiet game and should have scored a 2nd for us with his header near the end also picked up silly booking Madden arguably his worst game for us, appalling penalty, no real moments of quality, spurned another opportunity at least expect him work keeper with, can forgive him a bad one though cos we will need him firing in the run in Rowe, did nothing when he came on and was careless in possession Stretton least showed a willingness to stretch the game Davenport probably didn't touch ball while he was on so cant judge Lewis, looks accident waiting to happen at times came on nearly gave goal away and then picked up booking straight away, did have some good moments too and started move for the goal to be fair but wouldn't be confident with him starting for us Enjoyed absolutely none of that game as much as did enjoy the result but weve got to be miles better than that when presented with such an opportunity to showcase what we can do Camps hasn’t suddenly become a bad player. Obviously not suited to how we play and agree, he doesn’t affect the game at all. paddy had a bad game but still played two superb passes (one in the move for the pen and one in 2nd half). Not a lot normally, but enough to stand out in that dross. Next games v Salford and Sutton are massive. We can’t play like that against either as they ar win better form than us. Hopefully Hipo and Collar back in Friday. Collar won’t be back. Challinor says three weeks min.

Not from me, Rydel is criminally underrated by DC. Wingers/Wing Backs are notoriously inconsistent, young players are notoriously inconsistent, so, you see where I’m going with this He is not Gareth Bale let’s be clear about that but he has many similarities and I have no doubt he will advance up the pitch as his career develops, I just hope that Dave Challinor recognises it Nobody at the Club creates as many opportunities as Rydel, we need him on the pitch, the ball delivered to him quickly, and get in the box for his delivery I wonder if those giving Rydel pelters were watching the stream. Watching live he was ignored by Hussey or even the simplest set up balls were terrible leading to a rushed/ poor cross. Hussey never game him the ball in space - in fact he never does. Don't rate him at all tbh Hussey/Rydel playing together is definitely an issue and has been for a while now; Hussey is reluctant to play the ball so either pushes further forward, which gives Rydel no room to find space for a pass, or he'll turn back and play the safe ball to the CB.

I cannot for the life of me understand how we allowed Andy Cannon to go and brought Camps in instead… Camps is clearly a talented player but whatever it is that he has it is not right for us in this setup and Cannon could have played any of the three midfield roles with ease, all he needed was a run of first team games to get match fit Croasdale first name on the team sheet for me . He ran the show and scored when Fylde beat us 2-3 in the FA Trophy Semi some years back . Camps not cutting it for me . I would put Madden in the Collar role on Friday and play Tanto or Stretton . He has the intelligence to thread balls through Agree with that about both players, camps and croasdale. The latter is one of those unsung hero types who shines even when all around him are a bit off it. Really got us out of the shit yesterday where a lot of it was our making. Mind you if paddy,s penalty had gone in iy could have been a different story after coming away with a possible 3 nil win.

We need every player back as quickly as possible and without both byrne and horsfall being available i feel we might have to rely on ben keeping the score down so we could outscore them to win on friday. It worries me somewhat not scoring more than a single goal since we beat the mighty dale at there place. We might have a strong squad on paper but i,d hate to rely on the likes of camps, evans and lewis getting us over the line. can add stretton to that list also.

Plus they tend to get in each others way a few times in games. Just a partnership that seems unlikely to come off and cannot blame either player as these things happen.

Stretton's tetchy streak worries me. Could it be that he's not as good/quick as he was. I fear injuries catching him up. Clearly I hope I'm wrong. He was a breath of fresh air first time around but I've seen nothing this time. And Derby County aren't daft. He was only a breath of fresh air because of how dire we were at the time. He came on and would be the only player who at least wanted to play on the front foot, and he score a tap in or two. I wasn't that impressed with him first spell. I am desperate for him to prove me wrong this time. First time around for a young lad I thought he looked very promising. Admittedly in terms of entertainment we had set the bar very low! I've seen very little this time aside from some petulance. Again I can't wait to be proved wrong.

The only time Hussey shows any urgency is when he closes the gap between him and the wing back - gives a short pass usually behind the wing back who has to return it to him. Then he passes back to centre back or keeper. Its ok to waste so much time playing so conservatively if we're two up, but this style play sucks the intensity and dynamism out of our play. DC talks about about playing out from the back not playing at the back, I just don't see how that's compatible with picking Hussey all the time. Yesterday second half he decided long range shots into the crowd behind the goal were the way forward! The way he walks to take corners winds me up. The defenders and our forwards are jockying/ wrestling in the centre for nearly a minute while he has breather.

Some reflections on yesterday
- Swindon really is as dreary as I’ve been led to believe - The away facilities were like something from a Fallout game. All that bare concrete in the red light… - The fans probably spent more time booing the ref than encouraging their team. They also need to come up with some original songs rather than the generic ‘Come on Swindon’, ‘Come on you Reds’, ‘The Referee’s a w*nker’, ‘You Don’t Know What You’re Doing’, and ‘Stand Up if you Hate the Ref’ - I got to watch a bunch of ‘ultras’ kicking the shit out of each other on the way back to the station. All of them were school-age. Who the f*ck is encouraging them?! - Speaking of young’uns: I swear every young County fan I heard yesterday had a southern accent.

My lasting memory of swindon is having the worst pie and chips i have ever eaten pre match.

This Strength in depth/Large squad doesn't seem as good as it should be in my eyes,a couple of players missing & were in the most part awful, sub's never seem to affect the game and players with a chance to show what they've got usually show why they're sat on the bench or in the stands in the first place. I suspect a bit of a clear out end of season. I think we've been a little unlucky with injuries to key players but that's football. Poor performance yesterday but good result, will take that but we need to be better, I don't want to be going into play offs and having a limp performance where players look half arsed. Fri night under the lights could get us going again, Come on County..

No report from S Lomas today? I rely on him for level headed analysis. not very level headed this week, was getting angrier and angrier today with the lack of urgency and seeming endeavour to win the game, I've just about calmed down now 😂😂 It was infuriating to watch… I was effing and jeffing at the TV.. no urgency at all. At one point one of our defenders kicked the ball away from a Swindon player for their throw in when we were supposed to be pushing for a goal and they were trying to time waste. I’d have been livid if I was Challinor. A bit odd.. but don’t really sense any degree of frustration in Challinor’s post match interview.. there should have been.
