Proper random memory from Saturday.... Did anyone else see the fan on the pitch at the end with a proper old school scarf(think it was that silky material) with the words 'Stockport Cty' on it? It looked cool, and probably has some history behind it. No but I did see a little girl on an adult’s shoulders wearing what looked like a United shirt, holding up a piece of paper, which I can only guess had something written on it like, “Can I have your shirt” because the adult was parading her up and down along the Cheadle End behind the goal as if it was completely normal and totally acceptable. I saw a kid in a Reddish Vulcans shirt which could easily have been mistaken for United or Liverpool, during lockdown I remember there was always a Vulcans flag in the Cheadle End.

I saw the same kid as bumpkin, definitely a United shirt. She wasn’t reacting to anything in the game, just stood there waving the sign around. She was only young so don’t blame her, it’ll be some idiot parent.

Although part of me likes the fact she turned up in a United shirt, watched a game like that and walked away with a player’s shirt over the United top. Hopefully that’s her converted.

Somehow, we need to get the message across to Manc fans that we are not some tinpot club that doesn’t have its own identity and that day-tripping to Edgeley Park is not acceptable if you’re going to wear other club’s attire. Metaphorically patting us on the head like some nice little pet will end up getting someone in bother as we rise up through the leagues. I genuinely think wearing shirts or scarves of other clubs should be banned. I’m sort of ok with something subtle like a pin badge (I’ve worn a County pin badge at Sutton and AFC Wimbledon games before, albeit alongside badges of those clubs) while at the same time thinking if it’s one of the Manc clubs I’m still not a fan.

Just spoke to my mate who admits to being a United fan but goes to County as it's local and brings his 10 year old. I'm absolutely shocked that he mentioned the number of Munich chants and references against Salford in the Cheadle end and he wouldn't make it up. I doubt the cretins responsible can read this board, but I think we've lost a couple of customers.

I’d heard some vile stuff at EP but never that..?

They were probably asking how wide did Salford want the goals.

I remember FCUM fans accusing County fans of doing aeroplane gestures when doing "how wide do you want the goal" but that wasn't what they thought it was. Plenty of anti-united (and city) stuff sure, but Munich references no.

Haven’t heard anything myself but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible that it happened.
We had idiots shouting about Istanbul against Leeds at Elland Road.
