Top and bottom of it is we have amassed losses of £15-20M and own precisely nothing - I love the ambition and can’t fault the quality of improvements they have made to the stadium and training ground - I have no doubt they will continue in that vein - but we cannot operate in such a financially precarious way with or without Mark Stott - I’d like to say we’ve been here before but we haven’t - the £6.7M debt left us an hour away from liquidation - this goes wrong now and we are gonners If we have lost that much then how much have equally ambitious clubs lost with a half and even a quarter of our gates and other revenue we provide as fans.

In this day and age to understand your club and the game i feel you would be better taking accountancy exams, understanding business speak rather than taking your coaching badges. Seems so many words spoken and so few answers for me. Top and bottom of it is we have amassed losses of £15-20M and own precisely nothing - I love the ambition and can’t fault the quality of improvements they have made to the stadium and training ground - I have no doubt they will continue in that vein - but we cannot operate in such a financially precarious way with or without Mark Stott - I’d like to say we’ve been here before but we haven’t - the £6.7M debt left us an hour away from liquidation - this goes wrong now and we are gonners I still don’t get what you want mate. You were extremely critical of the previous owners for not putting money in and now you’re not happy with owners who are putting money in. As I said last week it was never going to cost 150k to get us from where we were to where we want to be and it was never all going to be gifted. The spending was always going to be much more in the early years. It’ll level out I’m sure but if you want success in football in the 21st century it costs money.

The question that we should be asking is could we have got where we are cheaper or not. Are we a club that can do it on the cheap anyway. All our successes in the last 50 odd years have revolved around money being thrown at the team. Even the previous owners through more at it after young was in charge and this carried on with JG. Do get the impression rightly or wrongly that many do not like our current route to success prefering the sustainability line on bringing on our young players which has never really worked for us.

It’s not a binary choice between spend f*ck all and spend like there’s no tomorrow I think we have a great opportunity under Mark Stott, but we just need to be careful and spend the monry wisely If you and I had £16M to throw at the Club I am sure we would quickly agree that buying the ground and building a training complex in Stockport that can generate income by offeing the local community the chance to use top class facilities would be the first two items on the shopping list Instead we own f*ck all and have huge losses
