Why the obsession with how many fans we are taking? Looking on here and social media that's all some people can think about I think people (me) are fearful the atmosphere won't be up to much - must admit, some of my enthusiasm for the day has gone with the slow tickets sales and some of the negativity I've read about how bad the atmosphere is likely to be. We could take f*cking loads, and then people will only moan about the day-trippers anyway 🤷♂️

I think just accept the atmosphere is not going to be anything like what we can generate in the Cheadle End - if you expect anything else you will just be disappointed. There is just too much working against you with the design of the stadium, the fans who come "for the day" and everyone being split up, but we will see. I went for seats in block 225 which is closeish to the halfway line as I am prioritising the view over everything else. I was behind the goal at Rochdale in 2008 maybe row 15 or 16 and was so far away from the pitch when you are behind the goal you can barely see your own goal let alone the one 105m away at the other end! ** Actually, looking at the stadium plan again, we were in the West Stand for that game and the seats are much further back from the goal. As we are in the East Stand this time, they do look much closer. I guess this is something to do with the stadium design for concert use as well?
I went to the World Cup last year and saw a couple of England games and the 2 stadiums I went to were better than Wembley. The one that we played the Senegal game at was seriosuly impressive (Al Bayyt) and the whole crowd were close to the pitch.

The atmosphere when we played Port Vale was one of the best ever and we've already sold more than we took that day, I know this is kinda obvious but the atmosphere is what we make it.

Definitely seems a lot slower today based on the tone of the tweets (obviously I didn't expect anything like the first day sales).

Surely we'll reach 17k, I think a lot are trying to arrange transport but it's only Wednesday and they've only been on sale a day, good to see Imposter enjoying himself at the game by the way.

Seen some crowd nonces on FB/Twitter. Sayin we take poor numbers. Some Carlisle saying they are a lot further. They also have no one around them whereas we have two of the biggest clubs on our doorstep. It used to bug me the smaller numbers. I still think this time will be different. The fan base has grown. That said they pulled out 8/9000 more than their average for their second leg which is bonkers.
But again all that matters is we score more. You don’t get anything for some more fans.

We don't have this thing where the town turns out, our town is full of United and City and they're both there a week later and they'll both be at the Charity shield a few weeks later, Wembley isn't huge in our town like it is in some.

a couple hundred will be the free tickets the coop give out but don't show and they said that in the meeting with the club that they know throughout they have lots of no shows. Also back when buying season tickets in the together stand you could buy a under 5 ticket for free and some people bought it who didn't have kids just so they could get a free spot next to them Not for that game. The Co-op had 427 community tickets remaining from last season, but those had all been allocated earlier this season. No idea why there was so many empty seats on Saturday. Some people were stood at the back of the stands. The official attendance was 300 down on the capacity. The Club have said they will look into potential misuse of free under 5 tickets season tickets. They have said they will check the data as to whether these free season tickets are actually being used. I have heard a few people boasting that they only buy them to create extra space. A real shame if that is the case, because the offer of a free season ticket for under 5's was a very good gesture by the Club. Has the club got any business checking up on whether season tickets are being used? There’s nothing in the terms and conditions about having to be used a minimum number of times or anything. What happens if someone can’t go or can’t take their kid because they’re ill or something? FWIW, I agree that any abuse should be stopped but what are they actually going to do if they check if a ticket has been used or not? Nothing, there’s nothing they can do. I’m not entirely sure what the abuse is either. Are people really going to the trouble of buying a ticket for a child that doesn’t exist just to have an extra free seat? There’s no other benefit of doing it.

When I go to EP I go with/meet up with lots of different people but I prefer to watch the actual game on my own in my own seat I imagine there are others who will similarly have a number of different family/friends who they meet up with regularly and an upgradable free kids Season Ticket gives you the chance to sit in your own seat and the other right next to you…

I’ve got a kids season ticket and have upgraded it three times this season when I’ve not brought either of them with me, but are people getting the free ones just to have a spare seat on the off chance they might bring a mate at some point? Not actually a bad idea though!

Definitely seems a lot slower today based on the tone of the tweets (obviously I didn't expect anything like the first day sales). It's absolutely pathetic that it's a 1.30pm kick off. I reckon if either team get over 15000 each it'll be a great effort and we need to remember where we're starting from. Look at it as a comparison to the average home crowd, around 8 to 9k. 15000 would be great. United get 75000 each game, you wouldn't expect them to take 100k+ if possible. City around 50k each match but couldn't sell their fa cup semi allocation. I'm proud of whatever numbers we take ,proper supporters from a real club. Don't let anyone slag us off,be proud and stick up for your club.

Different era though vicar, I don't remember having as many options of where to sit in our visits to old Wembley as to what there is now, we were pretty much lumped in one area all together. I agree that the Vale atmosphere was magical though, summed up what being a county fan was all about to me, 2-0 down, outnumbered, sod it let's just make loads of noise, the result didn't matter, & Big Kev's goal felt like a winner as a result.

Travel and early kick off will deffo put off a few casuals (and that's fair as I doubt i'd bother with this if I wasn't a proper County fan) but I agree with the points above that we never really get 'the town' turning out for us. I thought we'd exceed the Rochdale numbers but perhaps not.

There’s no other benefit of doing it. They can do it by changing the terms and conditions for season ticket purchases going forward. You then have a choice to buy the ticket accepting those terms and conditions, or not buy one. With the way our crowds are I view it in a similar way to what Brentford did. Of course there will always be the odd game that people can't make, or people that buy and share say 3 season tickets amongst 2 people, etc... But there are equally those who get a free kids season ticket and it's barely if ever used. If that's going on whilst people are unable to get in because a game's sold out then it needs stamping down on.

I’d be surprised if there’s more than 50 season tickets in the whole ground that are bought purely for the purposes of having an extra seat/option of an upgrade at some point. I know that could all add up over the season etc but feels like there’s much bigger ticketing things to be concerned with than this. Accept I could be totally wrong though and there’s hundreds and hundreds of people at it.
