Hello my little muckers, Carlisle fan here, hope your ready for our big jamboree on Sunday. Tickets sorted, transport sorted and accommodation ....sorted!! However its been a struggle, not sure what its like at your end, but there are no, or very few coaches, train prices have gone through the roof and who the hell fancies a six and a half hour drive down one of the worst motorways in Britain,.......errr well me actually! We've managed to hire a people carrier and are going down on Saturday morning, we plan to have a few lemonades in Watford on Saturday night. With two Northern teams, (well one proper Northern Team ) Why on earth it's held in North London is beyond me, especially with so many big football grounds in our area. No idea about ticket sales yet, my estimation would be between 15,000 and 20,000 in total will travel, what do you think County will take? Have a safe journey down my friends and a totally miserable one back. Now then where you keeping your sheep over the weekend?

Hello Bramble (not Tes is it) good to have you on our board, we seem to have run out of coaches which is ridiculous when you consider the two Manchester clubs are at Wembley for the FA Cup final, train prices are in excess of £100 and the first one gets you in at 11.00am so that's a bit awkward, our tickets went on sale to ST holders at 10.00am today and open sale at 2.00pm, as of an hour ago we've shifted 12,500 so I'd expect about 20,000 to travel down. Anyway leave our sheep alone, they won't be left unguarded if that's what you're thinking.

Hope you have a decent trip pal with only the result spoiling your weekend A couple of shady looking blokes from North Wales with strange North American accents offered to look after my sheep but I was dubious of their intentions! Jokes aside, I'm obviously glad we got past Gary Neville F.C & are facing a proper side with proper fans in the final, no-one likes losing at Wembley but If that ends up being us I personally don't think it's a disaster for us to spend another season in league 2 whereas you've been languishing there for a few years now & probably feel it's time for a a change of scenery. I just hope it's won fair & square & there's no dodgy decisions or VAR silliness impacting the result for either side. Got a lot of respect for Carlisle fans with the amount of travelling you have to do & the numbers you take & I really enjoyed my first visit to Brunton park this season, a beautiful ground full of character & a cracking atmosphere generated by both sets of fans on the night. May the best team win

Aye, I was willing you to get past Soulfraud, I'm not sure I could stomach all the Manchester Loveies and their 17 fans at Wembley, so well done. Yea it was a cracking night that at Brunton Park, just a bit of a shame that our defence went to sleep straight after we took the lead, but hey ho, good game and played in a great atmosphere. I will always remember the game at Edgeley Park in 2006 when you were battling for league survival and we had just won the league, I was really chuffed you stayed up that day, as the celebrations between the two sets of fans were simply brilliant. Aye your quite right may the best team win.

11am arrival isn't that awkward. Our train gets there at 11:10, which means an hour in the boozer then the train over to Wembley. We should be there well before half one.

For 2 reasons I didn't want Bradford in the playoffs I think they will beat us and secondly I live near Bradford when we lose big games I can normally get away with knowing few of any opposition fans. That wouldn't have been the case with Bradford. But as others have said I don't begrudge carlisle any success, as you had to put up with Michael Knighton and you always travel in number despite the difference. I think you have brought the biggest away following ever to ep in the auto windscreens semi. Just huge support. You also did us a massive favour beating us. Another game and a trip to Wembley would have been a game too far in 96/97, we wouldn't have got promoted without that defeat. And you never know without it never reached the championship.

It could actually have been worse as it could have been pools or barrow in the final but the authorities could not give a damn about fans. If the game was say at old trafford with the same KO time would you have actually brought more down as i,m sure we,d have taken more even though we,d have to burn our clothes on getting back home. The lure of wembley has gone due to the problems you have stated plus those who have seen there team there before. Anyway best of luck next season in doing the double over wrexham and salford on your way to promotion.

There's not much leeway for delays though. Very true, worst case scenario is we have to scoot over to Wembley straightaway and have a pint or two around there instead.
