FA Cup 1st Round draw is due soon, think it’s Monday.
Do you want to progress with the hope of getting a plum 3rd Round tie, tv cameras et al? Or just keep it low profile and save ourselves for the league? With our injury record it’s tempting to think the latter, but a good run could also benefit our league momentum too.

Id love a proper good FA Cup run, it brings finance and publicity, excitement and it’s the sort of thing that make impressionable kids decide to follow County rather than other local clubs. We’ve not been blessed with good plum draws, I’m hoping this is our year. On that note, will we be allowed to play Louie Barry?

Always want us to take the F.A. cup seriously & progress as far as possible. The dream is always a plum tie against a big fish away in round 3.

I’ve been hoping for such an overdue run for all the above reasons too, but would obviously take a promotion over cup success every time. We could do both though like in 96/97! Not thought about our loanees availability though. That would obviously lie within the terms of the loan agreement with all our current loanees as well. Our loaned out players too!

Option one for me. I know there's a view that a cup run can be a distraction, but it always seems to me lower league sides that advance in the cups so often combine this progress with successful league campaigns. The old adage that 'winning is a habit', I think the evidence bears it out.

Always, always try and win with our strongest teams.
Sadly we've become one of those clubs who makes multiple changes.
Only 4 of the 11 against Swindon last season started the previous league game, was a bit better v Charlton with 7 of the previous games 11 starting and then 8 of the previous 11 v Walsall.
There's the obvious comeback of 'we beat Swindon 4-0 so shut up', which is fair. But hopefully we don't just play reserves against whoever we draw this year. We all know the league is the priority, but it doesn't have to be one or the other.

Heads down and draw the lowest ranked teams possible until third round. Not interested in whoever is top of League One as a 'big game'. Don't want Portsmouth, Derby, Barnsley etc. Let's have Cray Valley Paper Mills or Sheppey United at EP please.

See where we are with injuries and who the opposition is. If we’re still short on numbers, I’m completely in favour of just playing the kids and anyone who needs some minutes. If we’re looking a bit stronger then a trip to third round and a cushty away day somewhere would be nice.

That's right, a trip to the Stadium of Li... only kidding! Just a touch further North would do just nicely, cheers thank you.
