I'm going to be in Stockport for a couple of hours before getting the Crofter bus to Donny next Saturday. I want to get a couple of items from the club shop but I've no idea if it'll be open. Does anybody know if it will be open and, if it will be, at what time should it be open from? Thanks in advance for any info.

I’m going to sticky this as a thread for general club queries.
It’s exactly for things like Malc is asking; when is the club shop open, what are ticket office hours, best person to contact in such a circumstance etc.
It’s not for playing stuff, transfer rumours etc. Just general club enquiries.
If it’s pinned to the top of the board hopefully people will consult this thread first.

On the subject of the ticket office, the times are shown (or buried) on Page 8 of the fan information pack, www.stockportcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Fan-Info-Pack-23-24.pdf As of January 2024, they're as follows: Monday/Wednesday/Friday – 10am- 4pm Saturday (Matchday) 11am-4pm Saturday (Non-Matchday) (Closed) Sunday (Closed)

Took her 20 minutes to think of a question for a player and ended up with 'How does it feel to join County permanently?' to Odin Bailey. Can't believe she's missed her chance to quiz Challinor on his preference for a 5 at the back and usage of Touray as a centre half.

I needed to figure out when I could pick up my Forest Green ticket before I head back down south and finding it here was easier than trying to find it on COWS.

'Buried' is the right word. I actually had to ring EP earlier this week to find opening hours. To be advised they're in news article approximately 3 weeks ago. The ticket office person could not have been more accommodating and helpful; but also sounded quite surprised at my suggestion hours could be posted more prominently (even though did confirm that people often do ring to ask same question as me). It's actual madness in my view not having the opening hours front and central (especially since they're so irregular)- what other business operates that way? Imagine if Sainsbury’s in Hazel Grove kept their hours secret!

Surely a club of our size can have the club shop open every day and same with ticket offices

If they ever change it I'll be back to square one!

Eg Stockport Town centre... I get there'd be considerations around rental, but with empty retail spaces and Mark Stott's connections/profile with Council etc? Sure it may have been thought of already but would be interesting to know if such had ever been considered.

The old Hughes overall building on Hardcastle Road could make a very nice suite of offices/club shop/Museum if the asking price was right and the club wanted to free up space in the main club building.

Well my local RL club has one in their town centre and accrington have one in their indoor market hall both run by the supporters clubs but tickets can be obtained for games there as well as a selection of club merchandise so why not us with double the fanbase of both these clubs together.

There you go- it can certainly be done. Interesting to note the supporter involvement also.
